What do you mean dead? Is it just not working at the moment or has it been cut off?

Still getting the free channels and the Granada channel (which i dont think is free). But not getting the show series or BBC.

It hasn't been working for the last 10 days or so. Apart from the free channels and Granada.

Was Dopi one of the 'pirated' systems that was meant to get cut off yesterday?

There are a lot of free channels still working but 99% of them are rubbish, the ones you probably want are NOT working as warned about, we switched over to the only legal set up here which is digiturk and we are surprised how good it is, for under £200 a year we get all we require and hubby gets the premiership, drop in to Digiturk office in Girne and they will explain their several packages to suit most tastes (we are not interested in UK soaps)

Gotta agree, no more of the mickey mouse stuff for us, its Digiturk all the way from now on, was in yesterday and was surprised how many channels were available to us foreigners, wife can even get her fix of easties and me my premiership and all for 40 tl a month or £170 for the year, you get 2 mths free if pay for a year the set up is pennies as well if they can use you existing dishes

We have swapped to Digiturk too and I have to agree with other comments - we are very pleased with the package. Lots of channels and none scrambled. Reasonable price too. I would recommend it.

We left Digiturk over a year ago for the simple reason that Hallmark was taken off without any warning. Is Hallmark back on now?

Afraid not and I nearly did the same as I loved that channel. But I have got used it now, a few more channels have come on and fair play with movie channels we pay 50 tl a month we had a free installation. After reading all the other threads on TV in this forum who wants to pay out ridiculous sums of money to watch TV. I download anything else that I want to see via the internet.

OSN has gone the same way Sky Italia and Sky Germany have using Betacrypt encryption but it is only a matter of time till cccam and oscam crack this as they did wth Sky Germany and Sky Italia. You just need to be a little bit patient.

I buy a house here in KKTC back in July this year, the subscription from the previous owner ended in August (thanks good), with less the one months I understood this Dopi is not worth the money. So the receiver went to the waste bin and the story is finalized.



As this is KKTC and Digiturk is here too we have made a basic subscription for Digiturk fo 20 TL and this includes also a lot of international channels. Dopi will cost 175 GBP per year.



There might be something in this for the Brits as they want to watch all the programs from home, and as the system does not work then it allows you to cry page up and down about if it works or not.



So get back to real life and understand what it is you are buying

I have said all along that I don't mind paying a little extra for something that works. Washermans system works fine (no freezing whatsoever), the picture is excellent. He provides 7 days a week help service and is very reliable.



Enough said
