Dear Chris....I have absolutely no idea..hence the reason why i am asking...I am sure someone will be able to enlighten me...seems that anything within a 3 mile radius of the village is advertised as "Esentepe"...hence my genuine query

The Esentepe belediyesi covers the area from Power Station to just beyond the Jashan restaurant. Everything within that area seems to be classed as Esentepe district. Esentepe village, I would class, as everything from the Esentepe turning from the coast road up to the football stadium. Mrs G.

Mrs G....thanks a lot....a very, large area.!...including a golf course Does the new "proposed" marina come within this area? ( I am not sure how far east this Marina is from the village, or how far east the Jashan Restaurant is )

Stewart, If you are refering to the Port Cyprium marina, then that would be in Kucuk Erenkoy, Paul.

Hi Stewart, I think it works a bit like in the UK. You will get a town but the local council takes care of a lot of outlying villages and hamlets. We don't live in the village but the address is still Esentepe. The butlers wife

Dear Geoff....i have spent time looking for bars / restuarants in the village that advertise here as "Esentepe" ie Kings bar ( sorry Kings bar..just an example )....but actually no where near the village...especially if you are walking! Would welcome your recommendations for "good places" in Esentepe...also those close by..if you have some precise directions ( as i may have to find them whilst driving in the dark ) many thanks..have a great christmas

Just a point, to me, using the area name "Esentepe" tells one it is not in Tatlisu, or Arapkoy, or Kuchuk Erenkoy, or Bahceli, or Karaagic or Catalkoy... so for those from the West side of town it would be meaningful in terms of journey time and general location..., but the directions get me in the general area, iw within a couple of mailes of the target. When someone tells me "It's in Lapta" I never assume it's in the actual village, more probably it's on the strip or just off it. Esentepe is small enough for you to sample all of the establishments on foot in a couple of days "pub crawling" ! tonyE

Kings Bar.Turquoise / Turtle bay, Esentepe. We have never advertised as being in the Village. Stewart. But it would be a nice down hill walk and i would only be to happy to give you a lift home. Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year, Regards Paul

I highly reccomend reading the glencoecyprus forum as well, it has plenty of good information on everything happening in the area, we got lots of good pointers when we moved here, and the info is spot on with plenty of pictures. There are also some good laughs, Sir Skogsy the knight just has us in stitches with his forays everywhere. There is room for all kinds of forums. It is so petty of you pipie to make comments like that but if you are banned it is obvious why

Stewart, Have you tried Remzi's in Esentepe square? We always head for there when we venture east as it is really friendly. Also I agree Glencoe forum great place for information, if I could get on it as had problems assessing my account since I returned from Scotland! Chris

Hi all, thanks for the info...have been on the glencoe site, great for local news etc Thanks Paul for your kind offer..will take you up on it next time i am out PS untill now i had not realised Esentepe was a district as well as a village and wrongly thought that everyone who advertised as being in "Esentepe" was in the village....a bit like me going to find a place advertsied as being in "Lapta"...I would go to lapta village. If it is difficult for me..just spare a thought for holiday makers trying to find your bar / restuarant if it is not in the village of the same name?
