| Do you require a geographical telephone number in Cyprus? Using Skype with a Skype in number? For all ex-pats Swissnet are offering free geographical numbers for towns throughout the UK. If you need a number for Inland Revenue or hospitals / clinics to contact you on what could be better??? Please follow the link and select geographical locations, and a town and that you would like then checkout. The telephone number is free if your forwarding to another line however charges apply to collect the call!!! WE RECOMMEND Pay £8 for the number and get the number forwarded for free to a soft-phone on your PC or LAPTOP 3CX Soft-phone is ideal and you can receive and make calls as if your in the UK You don't need a UK address nor do you need a telephone line just a broadband connection in north Cyprus and a PC, laptop or SIP phone We started this service due to relatives & Friends retiring to northern Cyprus. | Alternatively, pay £8 per month to Vonage, and have a UK regional land line, no need for call to be forwarded to a soft phone, no need for computer to even be on, works like any normal phone but over your internet connection, and for the £8 per month, all UK 01/02 number included. |

Our charge is only £8 a year!! And if you buy a sip phone from ebay that i have seen from 19.99 our system is way cheaper. The server is free aswell so our system is a flat £8 a year and your choice of equipment is up to you use a PC or a SIP Phone like vonage use its up to you and you can get a phone within your requiremnets. Vonage currently doe a twin phone system free if you go for a £5.99 a month fee £71.88 a year Maybe were not charging enough haha so £28 or £71.88 a month your choice both would include a phone.

Hmm Swissnet I use Vonage and have a GREAT tel number that your lot would charge 400 GBP for.. With Vonage I can use a normal cordless DECT phone - don't need to keep a PC running - don't need to configure a SIP phone - have an ansafone, - free divert to other UK / US / NZ / Oz land line numbers - free calls to UK / US/ Oz NZ, 24/7 tech support etc - I can have a fax line, and up my package to get free calls to 45 nations on a UK account or 60 on a US one.. - I get FAR better call quality than using SKYPE out ( SKYPE - to - SKYPE is much better than SKYPE out ) and don't need to be VoIP IT savvy - it just plugs in and works.. Often Vonage GIVE you FREE DECT phones - so your package could cost 50% more than Vonage in year one and not have as many must have facilities...

Also to add you can keep your exisiting number in the UK if you have sold the property on for £25 then £8 a year so youd never need to change your number or appear to have left your property in the UK. If anybody has any feed back id like to hear

Vonage might be great but your paying basically for sip phone adaptor that connects to a normal landline phone. Linksys originally made an adaptor called a pap and pap2 that were locked for vonage use, this is the same system. All you need to setup a sip phone is username, password and server address. All numbers can be used for fax data answer phone etc if you whant to copy vonage just buy a sip adaptor http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Flexor-151-Voice-Over-IP-VOIP-SIP-ATA-Phone-Adapter-/300499882992?pt=UK_Computing_Networking_SM&hash=item45f73053f0 Get and adaptor like this an attach a fax machine if your require, a normall landline phone and you have the same setup. We will help anyone who requires assitance in setting this up. What we offer is a more tailored soloution. Let us know what you whant and we can quote a flat fee, but we will be considerably cheapr than vonage. Either way under £30 for the first year and £8 reccuriing

You dont pay to recive calls on our system aslong as your using the phone through the internet but you can change the system to divert to another landline or mobile while visiting the UK then charges apply see our site for a list of charges most under 1p a minute. There is a charge for moving your number as BT charge this, if vonage get around this then it maybe a good option but still we would be cheaper. I would encourage anyone to try the system and give a response with experince taht they recive from our service. Im sending a system out to cyprus in january and will give everyone feedback how this works through sat internet. Surely for just £8.50 its worth someone trying???? if theyre happy with the service buy a sip adaptor or sip phone and we will do all we can to support you on various equipment. in all if you were to transfer your number £25 and then an adaptor of £19.50 we are still cheaper £45 for the first year the £8 after Not £71.88 every year

THIS IS FROM VONAGE If you've got ADSL broadband If you've got ADSL broadband (eg BT), then you may not be able to keep your old phone number – or the process may be more complicated. You can find out more here. But you can still save money by adding Vonage as a second phone line. If you have cable this can easily be done! If you read what vonage offer it isnt all that great

Hi Swissnet I have recommended Vonage to several members emigrating and NONE of 'em have been charged by BT to move their land line number - nor has Vonage ever charged a fee - the only time that a charge could apply is a fee - if still under contract - this is one's right under OFCOM rules... These are interesting comparisons, but the whole beauty of Vonage is that all the things you seem to suggest need additional hardware are included with Vonage's control panel.. I would like to give this service 'a spin' over the hols.. will the numbering ordering facility work online - i.e. if ordered will it be delivered - over the hols ?

Yes its automated however you will need a solo account so please let me know at scott@swissnet.co.uk and i will setup your free solo account upon your request, this may be delayed slightly over xmas but i will do my best to activate asap. Technically we could pre configure the equipment as vonage do and supply it as a package but wed like to hear any feedback before we did such a system. Let me know if you require any further assitance.
