| We withdrew some Sterling from TEB's ATM to pay a school bill, nestled in amongst all the good notes were two no longer acceptable £20 notes... bugger! didn't spot it until we'd got all the way to the school only to be told, they were no good. Returned them for exchange and the TEB Bank tried to fob us off with the notion that the notes were still accepted at the Central Bank - yeah we normally draw notes out in Girne just to go over to the Central Bank to exchange them! Good customer relations? Idiots. |
