| im a bit confused , as i am told that different rates of vat apply to different things in n.c , can anyone tell me if i had a new swimming pool put in , what rate of v.a.t would i pay to the builder ?. |

| There's so many rates and they do change often, wouldn't it be easier to ask the builder to quote you for the final cost inclusive of KDV (ie, VAT)? Then you'll get the prevailing rate which they should stick to? Sorry I can't answer your question but I tend to work on roughly 5% on food, 8% on some electricals, 20% on selling a car, and a ball park figure of 16% on everything else. |
