Money transfer UK to TRNC

On my last visit to TRNC I opened an account with The Turkish Bank.



I am now trying to do my first money transfer



My bank (Coop) won't do a transfer to the Turkish bank as I can't provide a TR IBAN number.



I am aware that it has to go to the London branch first and then over to Cyprus, but my bank just won't even attempt to make the transfer without a TR IBAN. They say that the money could just end up in a black hole, they won't even phone the receiving bank in London to discuss.



Any advice would be appreciated.

ask turk bank for their iban. all banks i think have an iban number.

They gave me a GB IBAN for the London and Nicosia branches.

My bank told me that the Nicosia branch should have a TR IBAN

did you go into branch or over the phone? go into branch and see the manager.

telephone turk bank and ask them for advise.

Ring Turkbank in London and ask them for all of the information you need.
