travelling from south to north

Hi everyone



I'm in the process of buying in esentepe and due over to do all my snagging. I reckon I'll be staying in Ayia Napa for a week and travelling over each day. Would anyone happen to know the best place to cross the border and the distance / travel time between the two?

Metahan is the best crossing then when you get to the main roundabout out of lefkosia turn right and follow signs to famagusta then take the girne road over the mountain and turn off at esentepe.

Why not stay in the North, that's where you are buying a property? Plenty of bargains re hotels etc. I would have thought.

Personally if I was staying in Ayia Napa I would use the crossing at either Famagusta or Pyle to get to Esentepe. I wouldn't drive all the way down to Nicosia as you will be going out of your way to come back on yourself.

Living in Esentepe, we have always gone through Pyle, when we have been visiting Larnaca or Ayia Napa.
