So is New Years Eve celebrated in the same way in N Cyprus ? i have never spent New Year away from home so it will be an experience . Will Kyrenia be the best place to go ?. Do the locals celebrate it as much as we do ? I really do not what to expect .

The locals celebrate New Year in a big way and those that are not packing all the local restaurants will probably be in the vicinity of the harbour. There is usually entertainment and fireworks in the square by the Belediye and big TV screen. Should be really good this year bearing in mind how warm it is at the moment. Hope you have a great time whatever you do.
