| Last night a car drove up to an empty shell building on the sea-front at Karsiyaka, a man got out and left a box behind and then drove away. The young man who works in the fire watch lookout next door went to investigate and found the box contained two very young Pointer puppies just barely clinging to life. The puppies were riddled with fleas and probably only about 3-4 weeks old. We got them some pet milk formula from the vet, fed them as best we could and settled them in with a blanket and a hot water bottle and the young man did his best to look after them during the night. Unfortunately, one of the puppies passed away and we took the other one (a little girl) to KAR this morning. I'm sorry to be so graphic but it is so upsetting that this keeps happening time and time again. If anyone feels they can offer a home to this little mite then I'm sure KAR would be very pleased to hear from you. They did say they would try to give the puppy to a surrogate mother so fingers crossed this will work. Does anybody know if the police will do anything if we give them the registration number of the car? |

| "Does anybody know if the police will do anything if we give them the registration number of the car?" Animals have no protection in law in the TRNC and the people don't consider it important. It's that kind of place and that kind of culture, unfortunately. |
