| My guess is it could work if your willing to work and continue to seek employment. The problem being in the U.K very few want to work ! Here these people claim on average £248 per week, Thats about what most get paid in benefits in the U.K....I still feel its a family thing,doing as their parents, its no wonder most would not even bother to get out of bed for a days work. I remember a time when Vic did have insurance to cover sickness and this came in very handy when he was once unable to work, then another time he had no option after an operation to make his first ever claim of £6 per week. | I know a local Turkish Cypriot who was unemployed and he got 60TL a week for maximum 6 months in benefit! If his wife hadn't been working I've no idea how they would have managed. |
