You get a lot for your money - at least eight courses for the first course - if you know what I mean!! The food, I think is typically middle eastern and can be quite hot and spicy. The staff are really lovely. You eat in a car park with wonderful views of the mountains, really nice!!

We always visit when we are over. Very good value for money, the food is always freshly

made. The Pide, similar to our pizza are very tasty.

Will try the Metran when I'm over in the summer. Like the idea of the food being cooked in front of me.

Pandy.

The food is prepared not directly in front of of you but in view just off the restaurant area. !!

Hi Pipie,

Looks like your really getting around and keeping us updated.

Metran !!!!!! Has it changed hands? Because we went there last year when it opened 2 or 3 days after and were very, very, disappointed with the food. No meze's whatsoever!!! In fact the meal was so small we went to another restaurant and had another meal. So I think that says it all in what we we served up and these were full meals!!!!!

We have not gone back, but will give it the benefit of the doubt on your recent trip.

Regards

Colliedog

When it first opened we had several meals there as the price was very reasonable. We later visited only to find an unacceptable percentage increase in price for the food received, especially with such competition as Yamans around the corner or the Council restaurant, on the Headland a little further along the coast both going east, which were much better value. In that category, Sea Breeze a little further along the coast going west is excellent value.

Was there last week, and never disappointed.

Murat works the shop and his brother (Methin) ? fronts the restaurant.

The chicken kebaps are large portions (Come with mezes & freshly backed pittas), we have never finished the meal as there is so much. 2 x kebap and 4 bottled effes 38tl (£16.00) and as we say in Yorkshire For Nowt !!

We also feel part of the family !

Sounds very nice, we will try it. I don't hope this is another "Turkish" restaurant that jumped to adopt the taste to English taste due to this is down the hill. Turkish food are really wonderful and one of the best kitchens in the world when they keep the autentic taste.

Can you explain exactly where this restaurant is please. We live in Karsiyaka and fancied a drive out that way to see how the North Coast Road is coming along. We went up to Tatlisu Village and could not find the restaurant at all. We then went down to the beach side and still could not find it. Help!!!

Driving along the coast road eastwards the restaurant is on the left on the main road, just before the (roundabout) turnoff up to Tatlisu village. Next door to the restaurant is the Metram store.

Metran is situated just before the petrol station. However if you are driving out that way try and visit the Tatlisu belediyesi restaurant either for coffee or a meal, very reasonable, it is situated right on the sea, sit in or outside on the lovely decking area, log cabins are also in situ if you wish to stay the night. You will find this place driving past Tatlisu petrol station staying on the new road drive for about 10 minutes then branch off to your left, drive down hill for a few minutes, you will then see the belediyesi restaurant !! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information guys. We must have driven past the Metran, I remember seeing something that sounds like that when we came back down and started back home again. Is the Tatlisu Belediyesi Restaurant on the main road, with wooden chalet style holiday homes? I remember passing this place but thought it was probably shut for winter time. Not long after this old road brings you back onto the new road at Mersinlik close to the reservoir.

juliamoons.

Yes, the Belediyesi restaurant does have chalet style holiday homes, but you have to branch off the new road to get on the old coast road to reach the Tatlisu Belediyesi restauarant !! Hope this helps .
