Dislike out and out rudeness by some people who think they are better than the rest of us.

I like the friendlyness of many members,the info,and the banter .



I dislike some of the abusive comments and people complaining and naming businesses, for example,''I ate at so and so place and it was terrible.''and people continually putting down cyprus because ''THEY'' have had a bad experience.

I hate the negative wingers. There is some bad going on in NC, but everywhere else too. The trouble with living on an island is that one can become so 'insular'. I became very aware of that when moving from Germany to UK and NC is more so. More outward looking please!! And positive thinking!! The grass isn't always greener on the other side!!

dippersgirl, first happy new year, there are some really lovely people here and nobody judges you like they do elsewhere. I find you are accepted at face value. I do not know the surnames of most of my customers. Islandmentality sets in as you say but this we have found its to small an island to have big dreams. We live with that and adjust. My hope for 2011 is to be positive, for this country for us all. We live in hope always xxx

I dislike the fruitless arguements between people on the forum for no other reason than to cause trouble having first kidnapped the thread and diverted it to their own aims.

For me, it it provides a modicum of unbiased gossip/news as I don't live in Cyprus but I was born there. I must say though the "chatter" sometimes is "samey" due to the predominant membership apparently being Brits who have bought property in NC. This is only to be expected and it provides both surprises and mirth when I read messages such as "...where can I get [insert a typical commodity name here] from?"

Like : the general spirit of camaraderie among members, genuine offers of help/advice given when needed, and maintaining contact with a part of the island that has been in my heart all my life.

Dislike the abrupt arrogant rudeness of, 'My opinion is right, yours is wrong,' attitude of some posters. An opinion is just that... And mine is always right - for me, and so is yours - for you. Well that's my opinion anyway!

I like the informative, funny posts, the events and for sale board. I also like the format of Cyprus 44 nice and easy to post, and easy to follow !!



I dislike the way some members go out of there way and recruit other members to attack, bully, and hound in a gang like culture way,makes you wonder what they are like to there families !!

I liked the way the board used to promote North Cyprus in a positive light before it became over moderated.

I dislike the people who come on it and tell downright lies to/about people and pretend to be something theyre not (mountain retreat, ha ha) and people that post crap to get noticed.

I like the way most people can be very helpful when someone need information, I like the banter that at times has me rolling about laughing. It also seems that 44 becomes quite a part of most members days.and the ones that get banned must so very much miss it and thats why they try so hard to come back with other Ids..



Then the problems begin ! Why Oh why can they just not be extra nice when they do manage to get back on ! for some it seems like a full time past time )

Well I may well get my hand slapped by DC, as this this my third go.I like the fact that thanks to my wonderful photographers and my constant doggie stories, between us we have homed 26 dogs in 14 months. I love the fact that through this medium Ismail will be remembered as other good causes. Including our recent getting all the lovely members to bring gifts for the SOS, the pictures you have seen.
