Dave Zerochlor, via one of his friends in the UK, as managed to obtain a pair of David Haye's gloves.

To be used to auction to raise further funding for Ismail.

One of the gloves is signed to Ismails cause. He is expecting these to arrive in Feb. We will then choose the venue and time that will give us the best possible return.

Who knows may be we could start the summer season off with a function for Ismail, hopefully if things go to plan with his cancer treatment. Then what a great way to start recoupoing funds fo his arm, as originally planned.

Thank You both Davids, and also Zerochlors friend who sorted it.

As David Haye has informed the world he'll be retiring after his next big fight later in the year, bear this in mind when bidding for those gloves. ( More so if he goes on to retain his crown, as expected !). Smashing idea to have that auction for the 'little man'. Lots of kind hearts out in NC.......

Well folks, I wasn't going to post again as it is a bit of a conflict of interests but in this case, I hope that the mods will allow the links I am putting up as one of them is purely for the gloves auction for Ismail and the other is for the link to my forum registration page where you can click on a donate button should you wish to give any money toward the fund for Ismail. You do not have to join the forum if you don't want to, just click on the donate button top left and follow the instructions.

For the auction : http://guidebooknorthcyprus.com/auction

To donate : http://guidebooknorthcyprus.com/forum

I will double the donations to a certain limit. Hand on heart.

I will soon be adding some much less attractive items from my own redundant needs to the auction and should anyone else have an item which they would be happy to see auctioned off for this charity or indeed another of your choice within North Cyprus, please let me know : admin@guidebooknorthcyprus.com

Chegwin, I think if you keep an eye on the auction site page you will see if the bids change, at the moment I set it to 495 pounds because Dave Zerochlor has said he will bid 500, I can't do a test bid because I am registered as the seller and it won't let me, I also can't do the donation button because it recognises my credit card and I can't use my paypal account to pay my own paypal.

I will try to maintain the bids on this site but I don't like actually logging on to here if I can help it, it is unfair to the mods and admin of this forum, they are being generous in this case to allow me to do this for charity but I will not post on anything else and therefore don't really want to log on every time there is a bid change.

Lilli, the concept behind auctioning the glove is a brilliant idea from Dave "thevidmeister" Zerochlor, I think that the David Haye glove was always going to be a high bid item. I will be testing the waters to see if others might be interested in donating items to the Ismail fund that we can auction off, perhaps us lowly bidders might be able to find something we need at a price we can compete with.

That is not by the way a request from you and Guido, I think you guys have done way beyond the needs of what anybody can describe as charitable, you are heading towards martyrdom in my book and deserve everything good you can still get from life.

Lilli, as I said, you and big G have when way beyond the call of duty for a long time now but I tell you what, this is Lee's baby and I will help in every way I can but it needs one head to keep it all together and under control. My suggestion would be that if you wish to be so generous again, let Lee know what you will be offering and he can e-mail me with the details and a reserve price of what you suggest is the minimum that anyone should pay to deserve this prize (first rule of charity auctions, set a minimum bid, to avoid time wasters on a chance, people are not just trying to get the prize but donating to a charity) and he can let me know either directly or through Dave Zerochlor and I can add it to the Ismail auction. I have to admit a personal interest in the lessons but I would have to split them into a couple of periods.

What the hell, I am already committed to double the first 200 GBP in donations. Let me know the minimum for the lessons.

Just to let folks know that I received the first donation to the Ismail fund this morning via the donation system, thanks to the donor who I will keep as anonymous unless asked differently. It was a donation of 5 pounds which I will double to 10, every little bit helps folks so please help with what little you can and I will double it and pay the fees up to a limit of 200 pounds.

For those of you who have a distaste for me or the person you think I may be, hit me where it hurts, in my wallet, I am an Aberdonian after all. For every pound you donate, it costs me another pound + 5% fees.

Just think of it as giving half as much as you can afford and I will make up the difference, that way you are charitable to 100% but only have to pay 50%. That's a great deal in anyone's mind.

Seriously though folks, if 100 people donate just 2 pounds, Ismail will receive 400. Ask yourself if you can afford 2 pounds for a poor innocent child.

Thanks in advance, Paul

Here are some photos of the gloves thanks to Dave Zerochlor, although he is unable to post on here he does want the members to know that he can be relied on for what he promises.

I will add the photos to my site and to the auction page but for now you can click on the below links to an independent image host site but the photo quality might be reduced compared to the other sites, sorry about that.

Just in case I created any confusion with my previous posts or the incorrect information as it was on the Auction site.

It is the pair of gloves that are being auctioned, 1 has a signed message to Ismail (the left) and the other has the David Haye signature (the right)

Thanks again to all concerned in this, especially Dave Zerochlor, Lee and most especially David Haye.

Sorry about any cofusion I may have caused so as it was some of the potential bidds might have thought it was for only 1 glove when it is in fact for the pair, perhaps that means you can double your bids

You people are so wonderful, It touches our hearts, I cannot wait to get this news relayed to Ismail and his family.

We where very concerned that by now with no real fundraising we could face a problem.

This will be a big step forward.

Sorry I could not post before, but our Internet is via Celebrity Hotel in Lapta, whom I gather took the brunt of the storms.

Thank You.

Just a small update from today for those that might be interested.

The gloves are still at 675 pounds and the donations for Ismail were 23 pounds today that I will double to 46.

I know it might be a bit too much to ask those poor people who are struggling to get by but if everyone who posted on here today made a contribution of just 1 pound, think what little difference it would make to you but what a huge difference it would make to Ismail and his needs.

I am not saying anyone has to give because then it is not a charity request but consider this, if a member of your family could be helped by donations from people wouldn't you wish they were willing to give something, lots of money was raised last year to keep this forum alive, lets donate it to something more human this year.

Thanks for putting up with my annoying posts in the past, now please help. Go to message 22 and click the donate link and add some money via paypal, if you can't then let me know and we will find a w

Walking, he is running around like a madman, dancing to all the bands, we have reigns on him to keep us old fart parents going when we get tired.

I just hope he can reach up to the bar soon and I will send him to get my pint and bring oit back to me when I watch the football.

Back to the subject at hand:

David Haye set of boxing gloves @ 675 pounds

Donation to Ismail @ 96 pounds

Please be in a giving spirit, go to http://guidebooknorthcyprus.com/forum to donate by clicking on the paypal button top left of page.

I am still hoping for some additional items to auction if anyone has good quality items they no longer need and are willing to donate them, if so I will add them to the auction at http://guidebooknorthcyprus.com/auction

Thanks again,

Paul, Dave, Lee in fact everyone supporting Ismail

We havn't had to ask. Our friends have come forward. Look forward to the day when God Willing, (Insallah) I can put on a big thank you party for all you people, and bring little Ismail along.

This is our aim and dream,

Good idea apc2010, I am not very good with computers, (sorry that is an under statement, I am crap) But may be the Admin could repost something , may be from around July, anything prior to that would have just been about his new arm (NAFI).

If not then hopefully this week there will be some updates in the local English papers.

Thanks for that Hans,

There is however a problem when I click the second and third links under the Ismail page.

The first one works and redirects to one of the original posts about Ismail.

Thanks again

Working for me now Hans, might have been a server problem at my end or just a glitch, thanks again.

Do you mind if I put the 2 direct to your portal links on my forum page or even copy the portal link above as it would be less clicks for readers.

Please advise, Paul

Well folks, at the risk of being banned myself which I almost certainly will be, I will still find ways to help Ismail as I am sure the others who have been active in this will also do but I am curious as to why anyone who seems to be a common contributor of my own forum is now on a lifetime ban on here.

Dave Zerochlor was banned it seems for stating that a moderator on here (who he did have personal issues with) was out of touch with North Cyprus due to them now residing in the UK, I believe it is an 11 year ban.

I have just been informed that apc2010 has now also received an 11 year ban for a sarcastic posting about aluminium windows for being complicit with someone spamming the forum, as well as a ban for his sarcasm brought on by the fact that the mods had done nothing about the obvious spam, his post has been removed from the forum when ironically the spammers posts are still there.

Victimisation at its best, I am glad Lee is still on here as the rest of us are all gone now

Yet again comments are being made without the posters being aware of the full facts.

I would suggest that if you have a problem with what you 'think' has happened then contact forum admin for clarification.

Thanks for your vote of thanks Mike.

BUMP.

This is about helping a young kid who will never clap happy again. Think about it.

No more. No less.

Don’t knock the angels just cos they don’t have wings.

Back on thread.

Any one else make a bid?

44 is sinking to lower depths than even, well, whatever.

If you can’t make a bid, make a donation. One lira is better than posting with crap.

Every post from now on means one lira pledged from the poster or shut up or start another thread.

The bid on the auction hasn't quite reached 900 yet Mike, minimum bid is 860 on the gloves, there are still plenty of available bids on the donation though, if you still wish to help then just go to http://guidebooknorthcyprus.com/forum no need to join the forum, this will take you to the register pge but all you need to do is click on the donate button and give to a good, I mean very good cause.

Thanks to all so far and also to those hundreds of future donators

Bump, as the request to make this thread a sticky appears to have been igonored let's keep it at the top people.

The bidding for these Duelling Mitts has now reached over 1K seems a little too low for these authentic signed pieces of Boxing Memorabilia.

Well how about this then. There was going to be bid of a grand today, via my text Anonymous.

I do not know this Gentleman, only via text. He helped us last year, to the tune of a grand.

I always wanted to raffle the grand, to double Ismails money. But as you know there was sticky time, and this donation was sent straightaway to Turkey to get the treatment back on track, we had lost 2 weeks at a very crucial stage.

Now he as decided to drop out of the auction, and let other people have a chance, But he is still going to donate the grand stg.

Also, he was going to give the gloves to someone less fortunate.

To everyone of you helping and taking part. In the words of Harry Potter. BLOODY BRILLIANT.

Maybe we could still raffle the grand,

We could limit the tickets to 200, so damn good odds, sell at 25 lira, just a thought,

Lee, whilst I agree that the write ups were very nice, I would like to point out that I am a little disappointed that this forum has got credit in the star when it has done very little and will not even create a sticky.

Before anyone who dislikes me wants to have a go, I couldn't care if my site gets no mention except for the fact that the 2 places that you can go online for the auction or the donation are only on cyprus44 because we put them there, even Hans has put them on facebook.

Izzet has not done anything to assist and yet he is getting the credit and Simbas, saying that only Izzet can create a sticky is almost as bad as admitting you have no interest, you and the other mods must have a way to contact him or at the very least he is more likely to open an e-mail from 1 of his admin rather than an e-mail from a could be anybody.

Get this stickied for the sake of Ismail or I will ensure the truth goes to print about how helpful this forum has not been.

There really is no excuse for not making this a sticky, you are not telling me that the powers that be dont have their finger on the pulse at all times but only chose to make threads sticky when it suits, like when asking members to donate to help keep the forum up and running but chose to ignore real issues.

Most of you will know hat I am of very limited knowledge with I.T. and its workings, inc. The Forum, or also the in and outs of what goes on with other forums etc.

But I feel that you people have a valid point. Why not make this a sticky

Lee, I found it hard to phrase that comment because I didn't want to sound jealous of 44 getting the press.

I hope you and every other member realises that I am not trying to use Ismail to improve anything for myself in fact, I am hoping to be able to get rid of several items clogging up my house and whatever I will get goes to Ismail, this is a way I can convince my wife to clear out the house without actually making some money so in effect Ismail will be helping me out.

I may have over reacted to seeing the mention of C44 in the press but only because the efforts of people like yourself, Dave Zerochlor, the Kibris Dancers and all the background people, including the lovely Guido and Lilli and the Pia Bella for the last fund raiser are mentioned in mere whispers and quickly forgotten but this forum which is popular because of the members, not the owner and certainly not the admin staff is the one getting praise and has done nothing at all.

For Ismail, not Izzet I try

Hi Proger , Re msg 113 , i feel a little disappointed that you feel you have to resort to blackmail " Get this stickied for the sake of Ismail or i will ensure the truth goes to print about how helpful this forum has not been " to obtain the sticky , you , or anyone else could have requested it at anytime , nobody has had trouble in the past asking for one , why does it have to be a mod ? and to suggest that i personally do not have any interest by not doing so , is really unfair and untrue { check your donations list }. And just for the record , i have asked Izzet to make it a sticky

Yes there are other forums out there who have members that do not go on 44, it's a pity as proger1 says that these are not being used as tools to help little Ishmail, I am sure he doesn't care about spites and petty jealousies

All the best from http://www.glencoecyprus.com they are helping as well

OK Simbas, you have me on the donation, I did not tie the names together to know who you were.

For that you have my apology and this time I use the personal you.

In my previous statement I meant it as a group you for the forum admin on this site however I am limited to how much I can write and didn't want to waste the available space explaining that as I have had to here.

On the other side, be as disappointed with me as you chose, Izzet still has done nothing to assist and yet is still getting reported to have done so in the press, what you refer to as blackmail is actual correcting the newspaper statement with the truth, this is not about a war between forums, this is about raising money for Ismail. Izzet charges for advertising but yet he gets it free for the work others have done, I for one think he should do a lot more than a sticky but that is my opinion.

Does he and everyone forget that without donations this site might be gone, dig deep everyone.

I just think it is so good what all of you are doing, and Zerochlor for starting this fantastic campaign, and all of you who are supporting this.

You have taken the bull by the horns, and to know that we will have funds coming in without me having to be over involved is such a big help.

It as not been easy over the last 10 months, at times it takes it's toll. We also have our own lives to get on with. ( we actually came here to relax).

So what you are all doing for Ismail's cause, One very big thank you.

There is also a lovley lady, whom I have never met, but her parents live here,(Turkish) and she lives in USA. But she is also trying to get somthing very big going in Turkey.

why dont you all focus on what is important and stop bickering about who said what to who and who thanked who for what in a paper......... does it matter!? clearly as there is such a fuss made about... thou doest protest too much

I am sure those that help, zerochlor, Lillie etc etc do not do it to put their names in lights.

move on..... good luck Lee with your dedication to helping this boy and his family and to everyone that has helped probably to numerous to mention

I think you are the only voice of reason and Cyprus44 has agreed to hand out the olive branch to help the appeal despite knowing what has been posted on the other board slagging of 44.

And now I understand that Zero has stated that he does not want 44 having any involvement in supporting the charity.

So JohhnyLee perhaps you could clarify any ongoing involvement that Cyprus44 may partake in to help you and only you directly.

AJ. Any help whatsoever that Cyprus 44 can give please. There is only one aim in all of this. I do not go on any other forums, (to be perfectly honest, I have neither the time or the knowledge).

I f there is bickering going on, then that is an awful shame.

I would pesonally like to see it stop, Because it could damage the campaign.

I beleive that if every one out there had been as close to the reality of this tragic situation, like Jan myself and my interpreter Yasin. Then you would realise how very lucky we are and what is important in life.

So for Ismails sake let's keep it positive and on track. What Zerochlor has started is a fantastic idea and could make a very big difference to a litte boy and his familys life.

So let's work together.

then how about doing something rather than just making comments on here about what should and shouldn't be written.

Granted you are right and I should have not complained about it mentioning 44 in the papers, it was petty of me but that is the same point I am trying to get across, there is a lot of things being written by people who are doing nothing, have you donated, I have the list who have and it is pitiful in comparison to the amount of people who will happily make comments about what should and shouldn't be done.

I should have just said I will donate 200 pounds instead of trying to make people feel better about donating by making them think I was doubling their donation.

I am afraid I despair of the majority of members on here who are so quick to judge people but can't or won't even contribute 1 pound.

Mods, please ban me or I will keep trying to change peoples attitudes and fight a losing battle which will make things worse for Ismail

Paul have you given it a thought that Izzit may be away from the 44, are we all not entitled to go away for one reason or another,Like its has been Christmas and New year ! maybe he is away for a month ! Whatever ! I had no idea how to make the BBQ tread a sticky but Daisy-Sam very kindly sorted this for me and in due time it was a sticky.

As for keeping an eye on how is donating and what maybe you should also consider that fact some like I are unable to donate by this way ! and will, and continue to donate in the manner that I do, cash in hand.when the date of the function/event is set.Its my thoughts that maybe just a" one posting "should be made a sticky with the donation details and information, not the whole thread. As its starting to turn around into some sort of he said she said game. And I for one and maybe even Lea is starting to feel;;How very SAD. JMT,and HO.

How I donate to this appeal is up to me, just because some people don't do it with bells and drums doesn't mean they are any less sincere, please just let's concentrate on raising money, not scoring points.

As I already previously tried way back in msg73 to get this thread back on track here's another go,

Back to the Original post, let's get some more bids in for these gloves it is for an excellent cause

Currently bidding is just over the grand mark and you can place your bid at the link below, when you go to this link you are not joining another forum you just register to bid on the auction that is all.

http://guidebooknorthcyprus.com/auction/bid.php

To everyone that has bid so far, a big thank you, to those that are going to bid, a big thank you, to everyone that has donated or is going to donate or even thinking about donating no matter what the size of donation or what the donation, an event, cash, support, whatever a big thank you too for having a thought for little Ismail, let's turn those thoughts into deeds and help this little feller.

RE msg 131, MaggieAnd Bernie: (...) ( and why is this still not a sticky????) (...)

OMG, for years and years and years members of this Bulletin Board have been told that only board manager Izzet Zorlu can make messages 'a sticky'. Why the h*ck don't you mail him with your request instead of showing yourself to be an illiterate, annoying computer user - only trying to be destructive?! (Read your suggestion in your profile, partly quoted below).

P.S. This is from your lying profile: "Used to have my email address shown but this forum is so corrupted with vile , poisonous posters that I have removed it. In fact I'd leave if I could! Try this! http://ncbapguide.com/fopum/index2.php".

I have emailed Izzet to ask for this to be a sticky so have others, DC there is no need to degrade this thread which is for a good cause with your tireless tirade of insults against another forum.

Open another thread for that purpose.

Please keep this thread on topic....

Msg 133, The Saints: Mike, I don't know what's wrong with you off late. Why this aggressive attitude? And for your information: I entered the good cause (in cash to JohhnyLee) months before you did. Another difference is that you may have more money to give - on the other hand I don't boast about what I do.

I have seldom seen a worse PR campaign for a good cause than here in this thread. With 2550 views of this thread only 140 people were lured to the "make_this_message_a_sticky_or!/donate_or..!_page". Don't some people realise here that threats and blackmail do not raise much sympathy? Why not start another thread with just the plain facts and a request to visit the "donate_for_young_Ismail_please_page"?

DC

I do not boast about what I do am not doing anything other than trying to help this cause and get the bidding going on this auction, it does not matter when you gave or how you gave please refer to msg#130 where I thanked everyone for what they have done.

As requested please use another thread to post your insults and let's get this back on track.

These boxing gloves will be an investment as sporting memorabilia seems to be a growth area. Let's see some more bids.

What on earth is the matter with this thread, when I had the BBQ thread going I posted on the thread each day and informed each and all what was happening re donations and raffle prizes, no one sabotaged it with insults and insisting it became a sticky either. It became a nice positive thread too, Please maybe it just needs to be BTTT when it hits the bottom of the blooming page..its starting to get beyond a joke. like I said in a post above maybe it needs to be closed and also made a sticky.that way people could still donate.and maybe a new thread nearer the time of the event that is intended to hand these cloves over..And lets all pray that little Ismail is well enough to attend. in the meantime lets just stop here now and just bring it to the top once a day with positive hopeful comments. Just to let you all know I am not digging at any one said poster either.

Hey Cloggy (msg 131) I have emailed Izzet asking him to make this a Sticky.

I removed my email address (meredican @yahoo.co.uk ) (which you know as you have emailed me before) as a certain Deecyprus who I believe is now banned, was sending me nasty emails.

I don't know about auctioning these gloves, it seems as though some people should be wearing them. For Goodness sake, it is supposed to be all about raising money for this little boy, who could be ours but for the grace of God, it's not about peoples ego, or feelings, it's not about which forum gets the most mentions, it's not about moderation of posts and it's not about scoring brownie points off each other. If you have nothing of consequence to add to this thread then please just butt out, sit quietly, and think about what you are doing, I am ashamed at some of the behaviour on here today, we are supposed to be caring adults.

Just so people know, the above link will take you to the correct site but will show an error if you are not all ready registered to bid.

The following Link will take you to the main auction site where there might be an addition of a few items if people would like to donate them rather than cash.

http://guidebooknorthcyprus.com/auction/

If anyone would like to donate items for auction to the benefit of Ismail, please register and add the details on the site or contact me with the details and I can do it for you.

it is heartwarming to see so many people helping the cause for this very brave little boy and his family and my hat goes off to you all.

Come on folks the bidding has slowed down right now and the family could really do with a boost, whilst I appreciate that this auction may now be outside the limits of a lot of people this appeal is to those that would like to own these gloves and are in a position to bid.

I am extremely suprised to see that this was not made a Sticky for the duration of the auction to help little Ismail and his family.

Back to the top please.

A reminder that the place to bid for these boxing gloves signed by the champ himself is;

You will not be asked to join any site just register to make a bid, other items will be appearing on this auction too to raise funds for Ismail so keep checking for the updates.

Yes I agree Scoty - I have emailed Izzet yet again today pleading with him for it to be made a 'sticky' but have had no response whatsoever - so just have to keep posting on it!

Sorry for the cut and paste but this thread has gotten so long now I thought Johhny's words should be reposted to save people having to go to the top to read them.

You can bid for these gloves at; http://guidebooknorthcyprus.com/auction/

Currently bidding is just over the grand mark and you can place your bid at the link below, when you go to this link you are not joining another forum you just register to bid on the auction that is all.

Well you people out there will have to go some now, I have just received a text from Ismails anonymous supporter and friend of our cause.

Last week he bid a £1000, then very kindly offered to leave the gloves on auction, and just donate a grand stg.

I have just received a text to say he is now bidding £1500 stg. for the gloves, and still donating the grand.

How I wish we get this news to Ismail, and he could understand just how much so many wonderful people are trying to help him.

We know this gentleman is genuine, he has already proved himself.
