I'm very fond of news papers and especially fond of follow-ups on important articles. Like the one on the front page of "Cyprus' leading news paper, the Cyprus Star" (says modestly the Cyprus Star)...

RE msg 1, follow-up: To be fair, it's not only the "Cyprus Star", where 'fun' is more important than serious news. Take "Cyprus Today". Do you remember the 'scoop' (front page) about a serious leak in some Microsoft software, discovered by Cyprus44.com member Washerman & son? World news, it was suggested, but it turned out to be only very local 'news'. I never read a decent follow-up - or did I miss it?

What a load of Tosh, People on here have my email address and telephone number, and I have the poor husbands phone number too.also able to give his side. There are always two sides to a story and I for one know the truth ) and yes someone was using my password to log onto the 44..Now however did they get it, my guess its called hacking into my laptop to obtain all they wished, nice one ) From other such forums that I joined, It seems all they needed to do was use the vary same password that I used to join. I think I will give this other new forum a miss as the only ones I know trust with a log in password is the 44...Remember guys I know what went on no good keep assuming call me any time 0533 383 95561..And boy 18yrs working in the Mental Health Sector you learn to pick up on the deep rooted problems people have.

Hello Spider, if the new forum you are referring to is mine then I will give you admin rights if you wish to check and see that even as the administrator I can not see your password. I can create a new password for you should you forget yours and do not get the reminder question correct but I have no way of seeing the original password you chose, only you can do that and I am pretty sure every forum works within the same guidelines.

If your system was hacked and someone managed to get onto C44 to post false statements I doubt it was by the means that you are stating very much, in fact I categorically deny that it is even possible.



I am not accusing you or anyone else here Spider however posting that you think a forum security system is at fault is unfair on anyones forum, if you can prove what you say about a certain forum then please enlighten us which one, I am afraid there have been too many acusations against my forum lately and most of them false, not personal, honest

Paul I have an email from the moderators here stating that my account or whatever it is called was being used by double Ids...stating that apart from myself or Vic, who by the way never uses the laptop,someone else was using my details to log in.." As myself and also as someone else"...I have never posted as an anonymous all my details are free to see and my phone number,Please feel free anyone to visit and take a look at the email. This is not meant to be personal to to you,But its a fact that this has happened, and once I change my password here on 44 the other night hay ho...lots of poster vanished and this was not my imagination either as on one email it stated immediately I change my password things would come clear..How very strange, and very relived that night I can tell you so it seems it took my changing my password to change a few things here,Please remember that my password has never been free to anyone either ! Maybe you would like to meet up and take a look at my mail.

Spider, I am not accusing you or anyone of doing anything apart from your own statement that you believe that another forum security system has something to do with the fact that your password was hacked and therefore you have decided not to join it, that is a broad weeping untrue statement that you have posted on a public forum and actually had little to do with the thread.

You by your own admittance are quite innocent to the ways of the internet, I know many people including myself who have been tricked by scams and it almost always by writing the information requested on a page is false, cost me $15million in poker chips, not real thank the lord but my point is, you are accusing a forum of using your password in a false way when I am trying to point out to you that nobody but yourself or and I expect I am wrong here, some very sophisticated software was used within the SQL database to ferret out your password and if they could do that, they could get them all.

Please don't accuse.

I take it would be the same place I went looking Christmas evening when I just missed you ? ) and yes it would be very nice to talk to you about it too. I will bring my laptop too, just call and make the time, I so wish you would just stick with the one Id all of the time at least that way we all would know who we are talking too. If you are referring to me with the multi ids spider, I am afraid that was an assumption on my part that people would prefer me not t post as the administrator but you are quite correct that people do prefer to see only one username for me and I am using the same one that I use almost everywhere.

Enjoy the new year and hopefully we can get to the bottom f the password hack, I know of several possibilities but none of which would explain why they posted on 44 as you, that is a personal thing to get you into trouble and I have heard that it has been done before, I believe that Izzet triple checked his system and found no issues so it does seem odd.

apc is correct spider, not fair on DC's thread questioning the validity of the new site, might not be your best move DC but journalists do tend to take a few chances now and again.

You can either post on the chat for apc or e-mail us via the members details on the forum.

I know what happened, that night too, Just give me a call please its so very easy to explain and people can continue to assume no problem for me.I can even post what happened but I can not see the point. Most people know her husband stayed here for a while and some know the truth about that too.!



But this thread is about the new forum 44 and I just stated that I would be giving it a miss. So enough said unless its face to face with anyone who would like to ask me.

Spider, you have my utmost apology for jumping to the wrong conclusion based on the fact that you said forum, the new website (I won't mention the name) as far as I know does not have a forum. It might create one in the future and then your comments will possibly ring true and accurate as to your reasons however you again have my sincere apologies for not interpreting the statement as it was intended.



Denny, part of the reason I created a new forum was to remove the members from strange postings with hidden meanings, if you want to accuse people of something come and join, you will get as good as you give, should you decide to actually make an accusation. All I get from your posting is an accusation that you believe someone got drunk and said or did something that upset someone and remembers nothing about the said something, that is a lot of gaps to fill with imagination and that is a dangerous thing on the forum.
