| Having spent many years in hot climates in the military, never used the factor 60 or anything come to that apart from coconut oil and vineger to get brown quick so I was not a "Moonie", I carried on in the same vein until last year when I had a melanoma removed from my face! Now I am a bit more cautious and stay out of the sun quite a bit. Fast approaching the magic age of 65 so I guess what I sowed once I will reap later on - my only hope is that the fags get me before the sun completes its work - lol. I think the article is probably bang on the nail and that a lot of us ex sunnies will find strange marks in the coming years. |

| I have never sat in the sunshine, always under a brolly and always get a lovely tan. Never could sit in the direct sunshine because I love to read and my eyes could not stand the glare. Nevertheless, I always protect my skin even in the shade would not dare to leave it off. Do Cypriot and Turkish people suffer from Melanomas or do they have some natural protection in their lovely Olive skins?. Always wondered whether they also have to buy the sunscreens. |
