Heard about the terrible flooding yesterday....... has it cleared ???

Is the village passable by car ?? And is the Main road from Lapta to Alsancak clear ????

I can report that the main road from Karaoglanoglu to Girne is fine.

To be serious, car dried out, the roads are fine if you take it carefully. There are many stones on the road and landslides, but if you;re careful, you'll be fine.

we have been almost ok, lots of road missing along the way. Dried up quite well but if you saw the pavements just come apart. What the hell do they use here, no cement it seems. main road ok, Lapetos Casino flooded and several houses lokk like mini tsunami but apart from that today has been quite nice. Got out of the car last night from work only to be knee deep in water, i was in my famous slippers. oops xxxx

Oh Lilli, how can they cope, we have the most wonderful mountain in our views, I really don't think any country could cope, the force of water is dinamic, uk can't cope with diddly squat amount of snow on the runways, the whole country came to a standstill.

I for one am proud of my little Island for copoing with the damage we have incurred
