| Was over the south and inquired about opening an International Account. The guy I spoke with mentioned he'd need to see my passport but as it has temp residency stamps I simply told him I didnt have it with me. I was told the passport was needed for checks? Anyone been through this before? What do they check? |

| You can open an account in the south registered at your UK address no problem, or a south address if you have one, but they won't as far as I am aware accept north address' They will want proof of ID, i.e. passport, and proof of address, i.e. utility bill etc. It's not a problem having a residence stamp, my bank there know where I live. |
