I do like to see a miserable Aussie.

Aussies, don't despair. It's not difficult, it can be done: Netherlands 163-6 beat England 162-5 by four wickets.

"England crashed to one of their most ignominious cricketing defeats of all time, as the Netherlands won the ICC World Twenty20 curtain-raiser at Lord's by scoring two runs off the final ball amid scenes of scarcely believable drama. etc"

Hans,

The victory was a very short-lived fillip to Dutch cricketing pride... what have they done since? I do believe they've been playing cricket longer than Australia, the West Indies and New Zealand and yet not much has happened.

Winning 1 game of Twenty20 (limited over cricket) is not exactly a career defining moment. But don't let that stop you crowing...

RE msg 8, Groucho: (...) what have they done since? (...)

▶ I think the players are still celebrating and anyway I couldn't care less, Groucho. Now that you have thrown into this thread your well known sense of humour - I leave. Bye!
