I will receive a part pension from the UK while living in Oz

and you wonder why the UK is in such a state, after only working in the UK for 12 years, I will receive a pension of 65 Pounds a week for the rest of my life, if I die it then goes to my wife, I have been living in Oz for 36 years, and if I go overseas for more than 6 months I lose my Australian Pension, so how can the UK justify handing out money like this,



as an afterthought I wonder if I can claim heating allowance, cold allowance, or flood allowance. I should get in contact with the authority to find out,

If you are living in Australia your UK State Pension payments are frozen i.e. with no annual indexation increase.

Yes you are right it is frozen with no annual indexation increase, but think of the millions of people who receive this amount every week and also receive a pension from another country, I think this will be on the governments agenda and things will change in the future, I heard there would be changes to the pension so we will wait and see, I didn't work long in the UK and being young I only paid a very minimum amount, when you think of it, this nearly pays for a months rent in the NC, so the UK will be paying my rent every month,
