I'll give it to them, at least they tried. But once they scored that was it, reverted to 11 bwhind the ball. What about the the penalty that was not given becasue of of side. What a good decision that was.

Still can't understand why he did not replace Rosicky and Bentner. What a waste of a journey to have to go north of watford to beat them, but beat them we will do.

To all leeds fans, enjoy the draw while you can.

Re msg 8

we are over the moon

see you next season hopefully in the premier league, fingers crossed

Walcotts pace caused us all sorts of problems today when he came on, dont know about Rosicksy and Bendtner what about Arshavin ,very poor performance from him

hope the replay is as entertaining as todays game

.....that should have been, "Remind you of anyone ? ;)" as in the tactic they [Arsenal] are famous for playing ....!

May I take it, YFred, you've realised the Q was rhetorical ..your lot NEARLY got beat at your own game?!

Hoping the next game is as entertaining..and that OF Leeds DO win, we don't go downhill - like we did after eliminating Man U, last season !

Funnily enough, we only came into the game once one of our own was taken off by Leeds. Taking Sancez Watt off, made you guys more defensive.

A replay is the last thing we need, looks like we'll have Saturday and midweek games from now till the end of the season. Ipswitch next on Tuesday for the reserves in the Carling cup semi's.

Hi Goonerboy

>>we only came into the game once one of our own was taken off by Leeds. Taking Sancez Watt off, made you guys more defensive. <<<

Could that be because Leigh Bromby IS a Defender and Watt is a Forward ;) ?.....

Far play to Wenger for allowing a player on loan to play against his 'real' team...

the point being made was, whislt you were an attacking force in the second half you kept our full-backs at bay and consequently stifled out a lot of attacks as players pushed forward.

By becoming more defensive and pushing back, that gave us more possesion and more room to play.

Hi Goonerboy

1/ You were the home team

2/ You have a MUCH bigger / better squad on paper -'we' don't have the luxury of replacing like for like, anymore :(

3/ Leeds players have ( mostly) played in MORE games than Arsenal ones and were visibly flagging near the end

4/ I THINK you'll find that Leeds had MORE goal scoring opportunities after the break than before !

Cont

I WANT Arsenal to win the league and I thought many Gooners were a mite unfair about Arshavin's game..

Looking forward to a worthy game for the re-match.

6m's the point I was making was it was only after sanchez watt was taken off that arsenal started created chances in the second half, and that because the substitution made you more defensive and you baegan to sit back.

The major issue we have with Arshavin is portrayed in his body language. A few times when in one on one situation, he came inside to play the ball rather then take the last man on and shooting, secondly I remember a ball Betdn played to him which he'd have had to chase and he didnt bother going after. As long as a player is seen as trying the crowd will be fair to him.

That said, he's a fantastic player, would walk into most premier league sides, and still has a number of assists and goals to his name already, its just that at the moment Nasri and Walcott are playing better.

6Ms, that was not the normal team, lets not compare chalk and cheese. Lets face it, this is the concept that has made Arsenal what it is today.

Financially and in terms of attractive football played. Long may it continue.

Leeds play with heart soul and passion on a realistic budget.

Would love to see them play Man Utd and a proper old fashioned tackle dealt to the likes of Berbatov.

FA Cup .... can't beat it, for the boys in the lower leagues to shine.

Great atmosphere at Elland Road last night, reminded me of Old Trafford before the Stretford and Score-

board end were made all seater.Thought that Leeds missed their injured striker, enjoyed the game though,

Paul.

good game paul, leeds did theirselves proud, some teams in the prem just sit back and try to defend, and sneak a point.leeds went for it from the first game, pity they didnt get through the way they play football.
