A few boys (early 40’s) who have managed to escape the wives will be in Kyrenia for a few days in February and are looking for suggestions, other than the harbour area, for a good lively pub at that time of year.

Cheers

Thanks for replying Traveller

I was just looking for a few ideas and if there was anything new worth trying out. No particular theme or music etc. Morecambe bay is a nice setting but would much prefer to be eating Dondurma in a café in Cyprus than ice cream on the mudflats of Morcambe on a wet Sunday.

friday, saturday nights, id go to tango to budda, girne.even in febuary these nights are always packed.they often have guest djs on,and it gets rammed.posh surroundings, theres been a million quid spent on the decor!

mainly dance music and a party atmosphere, the venue holds 2000(i think).

dress up to get in and you'll have a wild night in there!

drinks are 15ytl,but they're good 'uns!!

For some boys with toys experience during the day the go karting at Zet is excellent. Good value and a great track which you usually have all to yourselves.

If you like a good singalong by the log fire in a friendly atmosphere, then Hoots bar in Ilgaz on a Tuesday night is a nice night out. Real instruments being played by joe the public singing traditional irish folks songs, english folk, gypsy music, modern and the obscure. Hoots is situated up the mountain, 8 minute drive, from directly opposite the mambo bar in Alsancak, straight up to Ilgaz village. Tel 0392 8211029

msg 3... Whats wrong with Morecambe? How long since you've been there? Its getting better and better. Lived there all my life and no complaints. Still if I won the lottery I would swap for Kyrenia, even in February...
