| We have air con but very rarely use it even in the heat of the summer, however I do understand the needs for the baby but am hard pressed to give a real answer to the problem. If it was me, I think I would use a manual type of setting so that I could have it warm when I wanted and off when not in use. I take into consideration the extra I would use in re-heating a room but as these places (concrete tents) don't hold the heat anyway I can not see any loss there. I think the fan setting will just blow the hot air around faster with little cost as fans are not expensive to run. Bottom line is I would not use the automatic setting - but what do I know? Good luck, you may yet get an "expert" to answer you. |

| If using an A/C unit for heating a room with a baby I suggest leaving a bowl of cold water near the unit to compensate for dehydration of the atmosphere. Richard |
