Hi all, can anyone tell me the best TV & Internet packages to buy.

Living in Esentepe area, currently running on Turkcell dongle and dodgy television package that freezes or does not run at all.

Dont want to get ripped off again.

Reasonable priced package required for these long dark winter nights.

We live 8 kms east of Esentepe. Have internet provided by Techpoint (Veezy) in Girne and just changed tv sat package provided from Dan 0533 843 1149. Happy with both, at last we can view tv without freezing/crashing and false promises. Hope this helps.

IF you are British and want UK TV then the BEST option is a well-installed 4.2m dish and you have the option of having BBCs 1-4 TV and most UK Radio.. You can simply get the free UK channels and buy an HD Freesat box ( most HD channels are stronger) that records - as UK evening stuff starts too late to stay await, and one doesn't want to watch UK kids stuff in the evenings ! - no subscription - v expensive outlay



A well installed 1.8m will get you ITV ( if you have a SKY subscription / Freesat from SKY card) but much less BBC stuff - apart from News 24 ( the red button gives access to F1 , Tennis, Golf, Cricket that the Beeb host) , some radio channels



Using a 1m dish the only main Packages you are supposed to get in Cyprus are:



1/ DigiTurk - TR and Eng

2/ Nova Cyprus - GR and Eng



Packages such as SKY, OSN, AD TV are NOT licensed for CY and you need to be SURE that any supplier can deliver the package at renewal time..

OSN = Orbit Showtime

AD TV = Abu Dhabi TV



Companies selling these packages rely on third parties in Arab countries to provide subs - and there is a history of problems when their relations break down.



It is possible to get SKY - and easier for you to arrange via friends / family, etc.



Stay away from companies that pirate TV and 'resell' it....



You CAN get TV via the internet - but you need to be sure that you internet package is good enough.

I have just clicked on the link for Nova Cyprus and want to know what the top bit is offering for 25.83 Euro's.



Out of curiosity, if I was interested how would I go about getting Nova Cyprus?

I have been on the Nova Cyprus site and they seem to offer fairly good tv packages, how many of the channels are in english or can you change the language?
