This brings it home to the people who can only see animal cruelty in any other country except thier own. the Brits, disgraceful. Zoo's and there like should be closed, period !

This just does not make sense when there are so many carnivores in a zoo that needs to be fed. What's the matter with these people. I guess thay have a contract with one of the multinational to supply the meat for them.

There is a need for Zoos to keep endangered species going, when outside of that environment, humans are destroying their natural habitat, causing their demise - and truncating and destroying the natural order of nature. That said, I think whomever put those animals there should be fired on the spot, and personally fined for creating a health hazard, and the Zoo itself - closed until the management and remaining staff are apprised of their remit and responsibility to the animals and visitors alike - and an outside agency put in charge of checking - without prior notice, they have taken on board all recommendations - for many years to come.

This is disgusting and appalling,if they are even trying to say this wad needed ! they could have at least took the time to prepare the grounds for them first..and someone with enough feeling should have pushed those doing this in first..Poor little helpless loves.

changing the subject a bit........ between Aligadi and Esentepe on the right hand side there are animal enclosures horses and OSTRICHES (in a very small run I might add) - what is that all about and why is it there ?! just curious everytime I drive past it I wonder why its there?

I see they keep big Cats,Tigers etc.,why didn't they feed the dead animals meat to them?
