Guzelyurt & Lefke RUFC are staging a Rugby 7's tournament this weekend. The tournament is sponsored by The Cyprus Star newspaper and is being held at the Zafer Stadium in Guzelyurt 15th January from 11am onwards.



This is the first event of its kind in the TRNC and we are hoping to make it an annual event and a good day out for all the family. There is plenty of car parking space, the stadium seating area is covered in the event of rain and there will be a live commentary in English and Turkish of all of the games. Refreshments will be available at reasonable prices.

We wish the warriors every success and hope this does become and annual event, in the rugby calendar here in North Cyprus.



The Pumas are looking forward to a great day of 7s rugby, and hope to see some familiar faces down in guzelyurt cheering the teams on.



This will be a great day for the whole family so come down and support the Warriors on there first major event.

It might just be my system as my internet connection is very inconsistent but all I seem to get on the above link is the header for the web site. If someone else is getting the information please let us know and then it will be just my system

Message 4 If you go to our website home page click 'Contacts & Location' The Zafer Stadium is shown on a Google Earth map. ( As you enter Guzelyurt from Kalkanli just before the bridge turn right 200 metres up there is the stadium virtually opposite the big Saturday market on the otherside of the river bed.)

I would say come via the new Yesilirmak border crossing and head for Guzelyurt. You will arrive at a roundabout in Guzelyurt by the bus station from there follow the directions given on our website.
