msge 13 yrret You have brought all the memories flooding back. You have named some absolute classics. Alphosne Mouson and GQ are amongst my favourites. Apparently Teena Marie died the other week. What a shame

Would have said Bobby Womack a few weeks back but the incredible Cee Lo Green has got it at the moment. His new album The Lady Killer is an absolute masterpiece. The tracks 'I Want You' and 'Fool For You' are personal faves but the whole album is spellbinding. If you haven't heard this album I thoroughly recommend it.

Hi Max, you have a great show. I listen in every week. You do know some of my favourites:- Four Tops - I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch) and - The Originals - Don't Stop Now Anything from the Elgins - The Three Degrees - Supremes - Temptations - Four Tops - Ray Charles - Sam Cooke and also Roberta Flack, who sang some great soul songs Also, anything from the Drifters - yes I know Max that we have had this conversation before about the Drifters not being a Soul or Tamla band - but they are from that generation. They are one of the most famous of the groups from the late 50's and 60' onwards and their music always goes down well at Soul and Tamla Motown shows. Keep up the good work, DJ MIKE

Thank you for sharing your favorite soul tracks & artists and I will do my best over the next few weeks to play them on my radio show. I've pre-recorded this coming Saturday's show, and next week (22nd), I'm devoting the whole show to the birth and first 5 years of Motown. There were many tracks that you have selected that I haven't played for ages, and I'll look forward to including them on my playlist. In particular I'll be delighted to play more Bobby Womack, Johnny Taylor, Alexander O'Neill and Shalamar records as they are some of my favourites. Oh and more Drifters... If you're over in the UK and you want to listen to the Soul Train it goes out at 8am on a Saturday morning in the UK and you can access via your computer on http://www.brtk.net Of course if you are over in TRNC then it goes out at 10am on 87.8 or 105FM Thanks again, and keep the faith, Max...
