Another Setback For Little Ismail, They Need us More Than Ever

I was hoping to get some more news before I posted this, (hopefully positive) So I feel we must keep you informed.



It has been confirmed that he has suffered a Brain Haemorrhage, He was in his own village of Hati. he will now need to be moved once again by air to a larger city near by,



We have sent a further 1000 lira today to meet immediate expenses. Details are sketchy, and as you can imagine his dad was in a dreadful state, and could barely speak.



We are told that this can be one of the side effects of Chemo.We believe that Ismail is not conscious, we do not know if that is due to drugs, or the Haemorrhage.



I am trying to stay strong, and Jan is very supportive but I will be the first person to admit it is difficult, I cannot bear to think what his family are going through.

Thank you all for your kindness, every time I speak with Cemal Ismails Dad ,it is awkward due to my limited Turkish, and Cemals English,



But we can still communicate. He always tells us to thank everyone. The Family do know what you have all done and respect you all for your love and support.

Children often bounce back from things like this better than adults. Let's hope that this is the case for Ismail.



There is really nothing one can say at a time like this other than everyone's thoughts / prayers are with Ismail.

Jeaz Lee when you told me and then told me not to cry. How can you not. Im telling you to be strong but I guess speaking with the family is so different.I have had the month from hell as you know but nothing to what this beautiful lad and his family are going through. It gives you a wake up call. I pray and I hope he bounces back and that he has the best treatment he can. I beleive he will bounce back. Poor little Ismail, he has been through so much. I am sure his family are very thankful for your continuing help and support. Hope he improves soon. I have just finished my third cycle of chemo and can imagine what he has been through, and as Chris has said children ofter recover from it better than most adults, so am sincerely hoping this will be the case with Ismail.

We are very upset at hearing about this latest developement, Little Ismail and his family have already suffered more trauma than most of us would suffer in our lifetime and they certainly need our continuous help and support.

We too are so sorry to hear of this update but pleased Ismail is now awake. We cannot imagine the worry and uncertainty if this was our child, how would we feel or cope? It makes our niggles and complaints about everyday life seem so small. All our thoughts and prayers are with Ismail and his family. Regards, the Snakes

Ismail is in Intensive care. He is very unwell, his dad can only see him through glass, cannot go in to visit, he is trying to keep this dreadful news away form the rest of the family at the moment.



He is being treated for the affects of the latest trauma, then if he can pull through they will reassess his cancer treatment.



From what we gather Ismail is on heart monitors etc. Jan and I will try to get to Turkey next week to see the family and hopefully Ismail.



This beautiful little boy is going through so much. Please pray for Ismail and his family.
