Whats wrong with the BBC they have millions of programmes we could see but what do we get on Digiturk in the "New" schedules? Keeping Up Appearances! Must be the umpteenth re run.

Not just that, how many times do they repeat the same episode in a day?!

BBC Entertainment is shown all around the world so the time differences apply to a multitude of countries. Have you thought of buying a video/dvd recorder to record the programmes that are on later and then watch them at your leisure ??

We don't even mind the old programmes being shown sometimes as, let's face it, they are often better than the new ones. However, why keep repeating the same series of, for example, The Weakest Link. Almost as soon as they finish a series they air it again - they must have loads of series that have not been shown other than in the U.K. Still I suppose we are not paying a license fee are we?

No license fee true but we do pay to watch. I am sure they get paid by digiturk for the programmes.

BBC Ent. is run like any other cable channel which always repeat their programs throughout the day / week. They also BUY all the programs they show from the BBC - that's why you will get a whole series of something and that's it. For example they had series one and two of strictly and then nothing for yonks until they had series 5 last year. They had Jonathon Ross on last year for the first time - SERIES 19.

I'm sure they have a certain budget and then someone at BBC Ent. decides what programs they purchase. And it seems that they will buy a couple of BIG programs and then a few fillers, and finally a few old timers like 'Only Folls and Horses' that never lose their poularity.

At the moment they actually have some very good series on including a brilliant one called 'Jekyll' that started on Wednesday night with a whole hoste of BBC stars.

Have a look at their website to see when the best stuff is on...

I've watched BBC Entertainment in other countries and would love to be able to see it here. I do miss all the old programmes I know.

I'm tuned in to Bader TV here cos we can't pick up Nilesat. There are loads and loads of films, BBC World News but almost all other channels are in Arabic. No help at all if you want to practice a bit of Turkish!

Does anyone know what other frequencies/satellites we could try that might offer this channel? What's the frequency for Digiturk?
