Don't throw away your plastic carrier bags . . . .

. . . . donate them to the KAR (Kyrenia Animal Rescue) Charity Shop in central Girne. We URGENTLY need plastic carrier bags for the shop. If you are passing and can drop some in, please do - it will be much appreciated.



The shop can be found either by going up the road which is directly opposite The Colony hotel and you will come to it on the right hand side; or from the Post Office - cross the road, go along past the Fire Station, turn right and it is straight ahead of you.

Theres a cute scalloped edge on the flap.

I can not unfortunatley find any pictures online, but they sell them in any Anya Hindamarch boutique as well as any luxury department store such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys etc.

If you were to ask at the supermarkets - Lemar, Tempo etc., would they not donate a raft of them to a good cause? Or are they no good for you?

The supermarkets DO let KAR leave donation boxes, but they are not so forthcoming when it comes to donations themselves! Occasionally in the past we have had some carrier bags from Lemar, and we are trying to encourage them to do so again - it is good advertising for them, but in the meantime the charity shop would appreciate any spare carrier bags you can hand in.



Also, if you have any old Birthday or Christmas cards, they can be recycled and made into new cards to sell in the shop.
