Steve, are you talking about taking tobacco into North Cyprus from the south or out of the south to the UK?

If entering the UK from another EU country there is no set limit, however, if carrying more than 3kg (120 25g pouches) they may ask questions. They ask you to prove it's for personal use...how you do that I don't now. The price at Larnaca i'm not sure of but it was comparible with what the prices were in the North...maybe a bit more expensive if I remember. Note, there is a limit that you can take from North to South but don't think it's the same from South to North, maybe somebody else can tell you this.

Hope this helps.

Be aware though Steve,

Larnaca Duty Free is not cheap, in fact I would go as far as to say its one of the most expensive I have visited!

thought that there was no duty free between EEC countries!!!!! Having seen people refused Duty Free in Manchester when flying to Larnaca................. so surely it works both ways Larnaca to UK

Thanks to you all that has been very helpful, very much appreciated.

Hawkeye the shops are called Duty Free but the goods I understand are duty paid that is why you can take a lot in rather than the usual duty free allocation.

Cheers

go to a local supermarket near to where you are in the south and buy it there.Probably a lot cheaper and you are paying the local tax on it so should have no problems, but do not exceed what the previous poster said...
