Took a ride to the mountains above Karsiaka....locals were having picnics in the sunshine. Found the first wild flowers of the Spring,Looked like purple, wild crocuses appearing everywhere, and a little bright blue small hyacynth... Ended up at St.Hilarion. "Oh what a beautiful day................"Roll on proper Spring !!! Mike and Hunni

Lots of narcissi out in the Pia Bella grden last week when we were there, also along the roadside going to Karpaz children stopping cars selling them. Families having BBQ near Kantara castle, my husband talking to them as he can speak turkish, they asked us to join them. Back here in rainy UK now.

Perhaps some of you ' green fingered ' can help me A very large wall has been built behind me, about 8 or 9 foot high, which I am not complaining about but I would like some sort of clinging plant to put on it. Something fast growing and could be planted at this time of year with, perhaps, nice flowers on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Carndi,I think the name of the plant is Sweet Pea Vine,it is a vigorous climber, with delicate perfumed pinky blue flowers. I have a few seeds that have gerninated, but if you could find a larger plant you will have it flowering the first year. The Gardeof Babel in Lapta has a good example, covering a huge arbor Mike
