A couple of days ago my wife and I paid a visit to the Ravine Bar & Restaurant in Alsancak. We had the - in another thread - recommended spare ribs and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was not noticed by many but these spare ribs even brought a faint smile on our face! So I'm pleased to bring these very reasonable priced spare ribs to your attention.

share a face then, do you Hans? Thought you had two of your own.

Only joking, I don't believe half of what I read on here, and even less of what I write.

Will try the spare ribs next time I'm in, usually stick to the fish, and the chips stick to me. HNY

▶ Don't think so - or it must have been a huge pig.

RE msg 7, LaptaMike: (...) what sauce were the ribs in? (...)

▶ My wife and I don't think that the spare ribs were marinated and they were not IN a sauce. We got a small bowl with some sauce - we think it was from one of these Heinz plastic bottles. BBQ sauce - not sure, but possible.

RE msg 9, dusty48: (...) yes you can enjoy your food while other people smoke near you, (...)

▶ Are you talking about the Ravine? If so, your remark is nonsense. Several people who wanted to smoke (including me) went outside with their dirty habit.

Hans, thanks for the info. I think I will stick to my own spare ribs in that case.

It's a bit hit and miss phil. Like everywhere else it's the interpretation of the law...Since the smoking restrictions were implemented we expect a smoke free environment...

Phil, it depends on the place you go, a lot ignore the smoking ban and let smokers smoke inside.
