Hi 6 x m's

I read on one of your other messages that Nova Cyprus and Digiturk were the only legal english speaking tv suppliers on this island.

Can I get Nova Cyprus (legally) in the north or not?

Thanks

Hi Scoobydoo

YES..

Nova Cyprus is licensed for Cyprus - all of it .. their progs are in Greek and English

Have you had Dopi? If so you'll have a dish already pointing at Hotbird - where it is broadcast from - a 1m should be fitted if - not.

They have their head office in Nicosia and you can pay monthly.

Thanks Mark.

Yes I have had dopi in the past that is one reason I was interested in Nova Cyprus it had good channels on offer.

We are about to move house soon and will be leaving the dopi dishes behind, any idea of who could fit this for us in the north (or anyone else who is reading this)

The Nova Cyprus site has a contact us page in Greek, even though I have translated the site into english from Google, would you have a phone number and an address for them in Nicosia as we would be most interested in going to see them, please?

Many thanks

Sue

Hi Sue

I called to them today and spoke with a guy in sales.. he has asked me to call back tomorrow when I can talk to his supervisor.

I was open and honest about wanting to help folk in what they call 'the occupied' areas' to receive Nova Cyprus and they were amenable.

They will give me a list of requirements tomorrow..

I suspect this will be a RoC contact tel number and address. This can be sorted quite easily.

I will revert within 48 hours..

I know some folk in Limassol who take DigiTurk, so I guess this is a 'levelling exercise ;)

Re: getting Nova

The receiver and card cost 23 EUROS !! Yes.. 23 Euro..

Packages from 19 - up to 59 Euro monthly - the latter gives movies and sports - you can pay monthly - by debit card - first two months in advance.

You need to provide ID ( passport) and address (in the south) and a south tel no.

I have someone in the 'rump' who can provide the address and tel and administration for 89 Euros a year.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the message above.

We will be in the process of moving house at the beginning of March (hopefully) so I will come back to you on this at a later date.

Hi Sue, No probs... if you have a friend in the 'south' you might be able to do it without the 89 Euros 'admin fee' ;)
