We are coming over in Feb to a virtually empty villa (sigh!) and realise that it is going to be cold. We'd like to know where the best places to buy heaters AND if they will be open on Saturdays ( we arrive too late to shop on the Friday). So ....help with info on best (cost / selction of goods) DIY shops WITH location (still getting use to geography). I was also wondering whether it would be a good idea to use the fire .... or do you think logs would smoke us out? Any help with the temporary 'problem' would be appreciated ...we can think about more effective / permanent heating later.

Use your aircon initially, until you decide what heating type to opt for - and DON'T forget to bring electric blankets and hot water bottles!

Fires are nice if you have a source of dry wood, it won't give out much heat though. My advice (obviously not for the first day) is to get a wood burning stove. Welcome to TRNC
