I wouldn't think that you could buy it in TRNC, though it is really easy to make it yourself.

Sorry Deniz1, Ayran is too salty, I have tried it and the bread was inedible. You can use ordinary milk soured with a little lemon juice, add the lemon and let it stand for about 15 minutes, it will become thick like buttermilk.

Also it isn't neccessary to use wholemeal flour, ordinary self raising ( Kek Un ) will do. Google 'Soda Bread' and there are lots of recipes, some even have video instructions.

Hey ya boy ye 6xm's. 'Bout ye mate?

Of course you can get lemon juice in the UK! Any supermarket sells it, failing that there are wee yella things called lemons that you can get and extract the juice yerself......

Buttermilk, you can buy in most supermarkets, well certainly here in this wee part of the UK you can. Jeez you can even get it across the BORDER Hmmmmmm..

I think that if you check M&S bread shelves you can even buy it ready made, well you can in civilised parts of the UK.

BTW I can do a really good Ulster as Lilli and Guido can verify X Let me know when you are in Ballyw or Ozankoy next!
