I cannot remember who was asking if anti-malarial medicine is available here - IT IS! Went into town today and went to the pharmacy up the little road opposite Seker Bank (opp. Shabby Chic) and they have Quensyl - 30 tablets costing 40.69 lira. I have looked them up on line to check on dosages as all is written in Turkish and found that they are $44 US so think the ones here are a good price. The pharmacist was very helpful and checked that you take one a day if you are under 65Kg, two if you are over. Hope that this is helpful to you, I shall certainly be buying them here, so long as there is not a rush for them!

Please check out the side effects of this drug before purchasing. According the Doctors I have spoken to here anti-malarial tablets are not available for the countries I enquired about.

Have spent many years in various malaria prone countries but never 'advised' to take the same tablets. Horses for courses as they say. side effects hit different people different ways as well. larium, malarone and doxycyclene are the usual 3 that get mentioned.
