[ ROUTE ] A suggestion for a great day out in TRNC

In the past years Brian Hardie and Corinna Phillips (Karaman) have organised the "Great Pegasos Car Treasure Hunt". An event in aid of the Lefkosha Haemodialysis Unit. After they had set-up the route it was my pleasure to make the route map for the circa 100 participants in 40 odd cars.

This year there will be another charity route and you will be informed on Cyprus44 and in other media.

I'll be preparing the new map for 2011 shortly but just realised - granted, a bit late... - that the maps from the past events may also interest people who did not participate for some reason. The route 2009 takes you to the most beautiful parts of Northern Cyprus and is absolutely stunning in spring. You don't have to drive the whole route to have a wonderful tour - you can break away from the route anytime. I do hope you enjoy the trip!

RE msg 3, wormy: All free downloadable files on my server are password protected. Mail me at mcf.trnc@gmail. com or hansdoeleman@allcrusades.com with "Route-1" in the subject field and you get an automated reply with the password.

I have no automated script ready yet for this file, so I have to send all the passwords manually (tomorrow). Furthermore I have asked Corinne Phillips - with Brian Hardie the organiser of the route - for the road book. It'll make the trip even more exciting. As soon as I have the road book I'll include it in the file you have to download. SO: patience, please! You'll get the password if you have applied for it - AND the road book.

Having taken part in last years rally and the one before I can recommend both routes as being beautiful and breathtaking, you wont be dissapointed.
