Does anyone remember Alexandras Restuaurant in Karsiyaka? Used to be run by a top couple who did a mean steak. Out of the way but well worth the visit. I remember they used to attract a real varied collection of characters, some proper wierdo's. I remember some great late night parties behind closed doors. Whatever happened to them?

But what about The Hut when Jan and Nasser ran it, and then they moved to Shirley Valentines which before that was called Rita on The Rocks..what happened to them???

I remember it was fantastic, we used to go all the time, it was up in the mountains around lapta, near the mosque if I remember rightly, I suppose I am, going back about 12 years ago.

It is now a private house,infact freinds of mine moved in after the closure of the resturant and it became a private residence.It was located just under the mosque and as Parkview said it was about 12 years ago.

After Rita on the Rocks the resturant became The Waterfront which was run by Salih and Sacha and then went on to be Shirley Valentines and now is Silver Rocks.
