Where can I buy Parsnips and Swede?

Just got a nice rib of beef in the oven but no parsnips to roast around the meat with the potatoes! Have only seen khol rabi and something that looks like a fat horseraddish root. Can anyone tell me where I might find parsnips and swede for next time.

Judyr.......you will never obtain parsnips or swede here but sometimes parsnips are available frozen as mentioned above.

judy sometimes illeli have parsnips but expensive. I think I read that someone sells sweed at the carpenters market on fridays. Cant confirm for sure. We have to get them south for sunday lunch. Otherwise as jo says frozen, lovely with seaseme seeds on them and a little honey x

Tony & Maureen Hutchinson were selling swede at Carpenter's last Friday - we bought 2. I'm sure if either see this post they will confirm whether they will have any next week.

I have also seen Parsnips in Ileli in Alsancak but they can be expensive. You can get both in Carrefour if you are going South or know someone who is.

Yes plenty of Parsnips in Illeli few days ago, didnt see swede, but they do have it often.
