I have been both ridiculed & criticised for constantly pushing these threads to the top but I am unrepentant! There's around 11,500 members on this forum so I'm sure if more people made a little effort we could muster more than the 1/2 dozen donations we have so far! come on....it's such a worthwhile cause!

Great news! Elko has very generously agreed to donate two of his voltage regulater units to be auctioned for Ismail.

Just a small correction:

I agreed to donate Elko Voltage Protection Relays as seen here at the bottom of the page http://www.elkocyprus.com/e-role.html

This protects the whole house if the voltage goes outside programmed safe limits by switching off the supply to the whole house and it is my own invention.



An Elko Voltage Regulator only adjusts the voltage where rerquired i.e. at places where the voltage is normally too low or too high and it is much more expensive

Here is a new thought towards possibly raising some cash for Ismail without feeling you are giving things away for free.

How about selling something you don't need anymore but hate the thought of getting nothing back for it.

I have an old itouch that I will sell but I would also like to consider helping Ismail so I will put the itouch up for sale in the auction with a reserve price that I would be willing to accept for the itouch and anything above that amount that it sells for will go to Ismail. There is no guarantee that it will sell but if it does it will be for at least as much as I want and hopefully even more which will go towards Ismail.

It has cost me nothing but a little effort on the site and will hopefully give pleasure to a new owner and some help to Ismail.

Anyone can do it, if you want to do it yourself just follow the instructions here

I posted this on the other page about the gloves so I thought I should also post it here.



I just wish it was actually achieving the aim I had hoped for but alas except for the David Haye gloves there has been very little activity in the auction and the donations to Ismail stopped within a few days.



I hope with all my heart that the reason people are not helping is not because of how they might feel about me personally, I can assure you that if you go by how you might think someone is based on how they react on a forum you will be severely mistaken but if that is the case with your thoughts on me then I apologise and hope you can get past that to help this young boy through his troubles



I urge you to at least take a look at the auction and think about anything you might want to sell, it could help you sell your product and it could help Ismail, that is all I am hoping for. You have nothing to lose!

Very Good Maggie, This applies to little Ismail and to you for all your efforts to keep this up there.



He has had to have another 2 days in Intensive care this week, because of the dreadful cold he had, it as been called Head Flu, Jan and I have had it, and it was bad, But of course with him being weak it was essential he was observed.

I met with Yasin yesterday left plenty of funds, (thanks to you kind people). with him in case anything urgent whilst we are away,



He tells me that our advert, will have now been replaced with the one for the next stage, so it stands a chance that it will soon be on the internet, on the ING Bank site,



However Yasin is trying to obtain a DVD from his cousin in Turkey who works for the Reklam Agency.

Latest update on Ismail from Yunus



"Ismail is resting at home in his home town of hatay. his latest mri scan revealed that the cancer i his arm has grown. he has had 2 lots of laser treatment and is awaiting a 3 week rest period before a new scan. his chemotherapy had been stopped because of his previous brain hemorrhage in recent weeks. he has since made a good recovery from this."



Please lets try to keep this & the other 'Ismail thread' at the top - he shouldn't be forgotten!

Hi Loose Boots and everyone else, As you know Ismail as been very unwell, and he is a little fighter.



This is a little bit vague , My Turkish is very limited, and Ismails dad Cemal is also limited with English, but he tries hard and does quite well.



I called him last night in Turkey, and he returned my call this morning, He sounded very happy and was so grateful to us all, who have and are helping.



I think he may have had some better news, so I will get Yasin to speak with him and update me,



Just pray please and keep everything crossed.
