My husband said he would be taking me somewhere very expensive on Valentine's Day.

I was really excited until I found out we were going to the Petrol Station!

If every body in UK boycotted Esso and BP garages, for six weeks, bought at Tescos, sainsburys etc. then Esso and BP would have to put their prices down, then the others would put their prices down too...this is one sure way of stopping the prices going any higher......there is an email going round at the moment urging people not to buy from these two......so spread the word to people you know in UK and hopefully prices will not just come down but will get cheaper!!

Wil never happen. Lots of companies use BP & Esso fuel cards. I fill my lorry up everyday at £200 per day..Sainsburys,Tesco & Asda have not got seperate fuel pumps for artic lorries and will not accept them onto the normal forcourts as they take up to much room and stop other customers from filling up. I could save over £2600 per year by going to these pumps my only saving grace is i can get the VAT back and offset it as a company expence

I agree something needs to be done. There is a very fine line when you protest by keeping the public onside and upsetting them. If you protest during the winter months and blockade the fuel depots there is a chance that heating oil will not get to Old Peoples Homes and pensioners so the public is against you. If you protest during the summer months and people cannot get to the airports or get to there destination of holiday in the UK again you lose the sympathy. What people do not understand is that what you are doing will help them in the long term. The British has not got the BALLS of the French to blockade places because the police will just move everything come hell or high water. What ever protest you put in place it will always effect someone. The aim is to keep the public onside but how you do that. One thing i do know there is not the foreign lorries on the UK roads now and a lot of the Polish drivers have gone home. Shortage of 26000 LGV drivers in the UK at present
