| There is a local variety of sweet potato, they call it something beginning with gol...... Have you tried those? Apart from that I haven't tracked sweet potatoes down except in the south. |

| Panchocat are you referring to Kolokasi which are the big tubers sold in supermarkets and which have a taste a bit like sweet potato but are in fact a beet vegetable. I like yourself have never seen any other than in the South. |

| spudlov...i'm not sure it's legal, but i have many clients who do this, i even know of someone who regularly takes small citrus trees back to the UK in his suitcase!! I'm sure a couple of spuds in your bag wouldn't cause too much fuss. DD |

| Its legal under EU regulations if the plants, seeds etc are for your own use and not for commercial reasons and they are free of disease. |
