Wait till April,if you paint it now it will start flaking before the summer due to the rain.

We were recommended to wait until the end of summer to make sure everything had dried out properly otherwise you risk the paint coming off again. We used Jotun paint, it is expensive but covers really well and gives a great finish. It also covers cracks well and shouldn't need re-painting for many years.................. fingers crossed

Booitsme, is Jotun readily available in TRNC or did you have to 'import' it from the South? Thanks.

Dulex weather sheild from the dark side, it's the best. Not cheap but lasts better than anything else.

The house needs to be sealed first before you apply the exterior paint otherwise the paint will not adhere to the walls. Unless it has already been sealed. Marshalls can advise you on the product to use.

Twoexpats - we got our Jotun from SBS design in Gazimagusa but there is also a branch in Girne as Mr Vince said by the Bellapais traffic lights. We're really pleased with the results, especially as a property on our estate which was painted using cheaper paint is already in need of re-doing in areas!
