Hi, I am looking for people who have an interesting story to tell, be it about overcoming a major health crisis, a relationship issue or something that you have done and are very proud of! Your article could be featured in a leading British magazine and earn you between £100 to £1,000! Please email me a brief description and I will contact you if I think the subject is suitable, I will then submit it to my editor for approval. You will be provided with a final proof reading of the article before publishing.. So no suprises! mia100max@googlemail.com

The words "could be........." are germane - who would send a total stranger the most private details of their life - with no further information to back up where the story could end up - bar "leading British magazine" which is about as vague as one could get. Let alone the fact £100 is peanuts. Thirty years ago I was paid £500 for giving an interview about something I experienced (I was approached, not vice versa) and although promised editorial control - poetic licence was indulged in AFTER I had read through and agreed the content, plus a photograph of me was doctored and not a word said to me about it - until I saw it in the magazine - too late then to do anything about it............

Hi, publications are listed below. Woman's Own, Bella, That's Life, Now, Closer I would of obviously informed anyone that emailed greater details. The publishing house would then get in touch with them to verify themselves. As I have said, the fee is from £100 - £1,000 I do not need "The most private details" of a person's life, just a general outline of the story. Hope this puts your mind at rest!

I submit stories to some of these magazines and there is no need for a third person as it can generally be done from the magazine website directly.

So Mia...., do you get commission, and would we get more if we went directly to the magazine - as most of them carry adverts for people to send in their stories. And what does one have to do to get the £1000? £100 would keep me in coffee for a week, but £1000 could give me a week in Paris. I know which I prefer! So, why you? And why are you living in Lapta and not in the swinging capital of U.K, - and just one more small thing, what is with the 'would of' - don't you mean 'would have?' And yes, I need the money, but what in my life could possibly be salacious enough to be of interest to readers of those mags, I wonder.

Mia - read through the posts on the board and then ask the poster if you can use them. Should make a few quid. Some really are out of this world. Just a thought!

I am an agent/introducer. I am sorry for the grammatical error but you will be relieved to hear that I do not write the actual article that appears in the magazine!

Can I tell you about my GR and Oracle, they have suffered terribly in the past and is a bit of an animal love story? GR is a pure bread Cypriot dog called Shillo and Oracle is Greek/Cypriot mongrel bitch, but they have a very tragic story.

Thank you so much to the people that have submitted stories so far but can I just point out that everyday romances etc are not really what we are after. My editor requires stories that will be of interest to UK female readers. Take a look at the current articles featured in magazines like Bella, Take a Break, Closer etc. Many thanks and keep those stories coming, you can earn £100 - £1000 if published!

Sorry, Mia, another question or two. Who actually writes these stories? And would we get to see them before published to check their accuracy? Could there be the possibility that the truth could be exagerated to make exciting reading, or owuld the mags be happy for the people within the story to comment on accuracy? A wrong angle could distort the truth and that would never be worth £1000 (if it is meant to be fact and not fiction)

Hi Maz, the story is edited by the editor and you would get to see the final draft before publication. I think it is written in a way that would appeal more to the readers but I do not think the truth is distorted!

I would inform the sender and the editor would then get in touch with them. They would give them the intended publication date.
