Now thanks to this wonderful 44 forum, Homes have been found for many sad dogs who faced maybe death row.I still have the beautiful Tessa to find a home for.I have No idea what sort she is, she is little and lovely. Auburn in colour with the loveliest temperament. Would love to be part of a loving family. Please can you give her more than I can please. I cant do photos buts DC has put one on here and I will try to find it. She will give you such pleasure. The restaurant is closed to carry out works at the moment and I do not want her to be alone. Now I can only spend 5 hours or so a day with her but they are fun filled. call me please 0-5338336911

Good luck Lilli, I fell for and re-homed a male dog that could be her twin! I call him ginger rather than auburn and the other two accepted him well. Our rescued pointer mothers him and he too is now ruling the roost.

Not all expats in Northern Cyprus read this board, so...

If all readers of this thread send an email to 3 friends in TRNC with this link:

▶ [ http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/55234.asp ] Type or copy into your email - it will show as a link for the receiver.

Lilly only need ONE positive reaction.

Who knows if it works..!

Let's try it!

P.S. Don't get angry when you receive the same message several times - it's for a small, lovely dog, she deserves to live (with someone)!

Just to let you know, Lilli, that the terribly abused Greyhound, Riley, is now with us and our 2 sighthounds. He has a long, long way to go with his dreadful wounds but has gained 1 kg and as we speak, is lying in his new basket enjoying the warmth of the fire...safe, warm and happy !!

Liz Spina is desperately waiting for your phone call (0533 833 6911, msg 21), because - unfortunately but inevitable - a vet will be waiting (with a final injection) for "Tessa" - if nobody wants her. Too bad, but that's the way it is.

Also if the outcome is put on the BULLETIN BOARD, is that not good reason not to post in the first place ?

Yes we dont have to read it but have I misunderstood DC'cs post 29

RE 34, Rosie64: (...) Sick or what ? (...)

▶ You may call it whatever pleases you - as long as this thread attracts attention. It is increasingly difficult to home dogs/cats so I wondered what would happen after some "shock advertising".

Rosie64: have you got better ideas - please let us know here.

Dog "Tessa" (I called her "Tess", but that was wrong) only needs ONE home...

P.S. This is Liz Spina's 27th dog she's taking care of and trying to find a home. Admirable, isn't it, Rosie64?

It's just another dog. There are hundreds of them here who are far more in need than Tess. A few pictures and moral blackmail does not make her more deserving of help. She is housed and fed at the moment so no great problem until Liz decides to get her killed.

Very grown up, but does not make Tess any more deserving than the starving strays we all see every day. I would image for many it is counter-productive.

Bullying, sarcasm and infantile responses to others opinions is not going to find a home for this dog, you really do shoot yourself in the foot DC. If people want to give the dog a home they will,(without the melodrama) if they don't then that decision must be respected, no amount of brow beating will alter that, in fact it will probably have a negative result.

How long will it be before there is another post pleading for someone to take in a stray.Sadly it is a fact of life that rehome one dog there is always another one in the wings waiting.Perhaps it probably would be kindest to have some put down they would not then be left out in all weathers to scrounge for food. I myself have two dogs and just this morning found another pup abandoned hopefully it as been rehomed.

I have helped Liz find homes for dogs in many cases - I don't remember you and some others in this thread EVER helped actively in ANY way. All some here do is making personal remarks - you obviously don't give a d*mn about the subject of this thread. Fine with me - it keeps the thread on top of the list. please fred i want the best for her.please do not fight. DC has given me a great deal of help and at one time considered taking tess but their dogs would not accept her. I want you all to stop throwing mud now please./Tessa needs a home and asap, time is running out for her sadly. Which is breaking my heart.I have had some major setbacks healthwise to deal with and I want to see her settled and happy x

After DC's antics you may be better having her put down. It is often kinder in the end. If I was looking for a dog, Tess would be way down the list of possibles. I would go to KAR/BARK where the animals are really in need.

RE msg 56 & 61, climakool: (...) DC - you havent answered my question ! Incase you didnt read it properly - IF YOU ARE SO CONCERNED FOR TESSAS FUTURE WHY DONT YOU OFFER HER A HOME - there you are is that easier for you to read? (...)

▶ You don't have to shout - YOU must learn to read. See msg 52. How many dogs do you want ME to take..?! I can send you some pictures of our two dogs, if you, an anonymous nickname on this board, were brave enough to show an email address.

P.S. And what did you do for a stray dog(s) or another dog in need of help? In this thread you don't have to give advise, just come up with a solution and not with words, words, words.

Msg 63 and 64. I must have completely misunderstood Lilly when she repeatedly explained to me how desperate she was and is. However, reading her answer to msg 63 there must be dogs in worse conditions: "i can understand fred as they do need it more than tess x". Well, if that's the case, this case "Tessa" can be closed - as far as I'm concerned.

P.S. No way I ever get involved in anything dog or cat again in Northern Cyprus.

RE msg 67, sienna: (...) Lilli but he is doing you know good - you nothing about me Dutch (...)

▶ Sorry, I can't be bothered to reply to a woman who expresses herself this way in the English language.

Bye all.

peter you know how much i love you both , i will never murder tess but Dc has helped me so much to rehome the last 26, so we try the blackmail, ok it has not worked but that little girl still needs a home so soon please. Peter every one is leaving so many are going.I understand they thought they would be here forever so take one, two three dogs,. Its so easy till you say their live or my life. In a minute I may have to go also, then what do i do.

Lilli - I understand your cause - but I knew when this thread was posted that it was to pull at peoples heartstrings - but DC is very rude and I think this may have backfired because of him - we know you would never let anything happen to Tessa and you know we love you because you do so much for these poor animals there xx
