Some news fans, who follow on radio, TV or the Internet what's happening in Cairo (Egypt), may be interested in a map of Cairo. On this map I've located in black the centre of the unrest, so it will be easy to follow how the demonstrators move. Large file (to keep the image crisp), so be patient please when downloading the map. ▶ [ http://www.allcrusades.com/BB_pics/DC_archive_Cairo_map.jpg ].

Stayed at the old Shepheards Hotel in Cairo in April 1979...just round the corner from the Museum where so much of all the trouble is taking place. Any idea if it's still there?

I like the way the events are reported as unrest. Mubarak sending his thugs on horse and camel back with weapons to attack the demonstrators is not unrest but continuation of his 30 year policy. With a bit of luck the US will lose control of this thug and will allow him to enrage the whole of the arab world. Democracy in Kuwait and Saudi may yet be achieved despite the US efforts to block it.
