| just to say that Riley the terribly abused greyhound has now gone to live in his forever home ...we were very sad to see him go but happy at the same time its wonderful that he has gone to such a caring family our thanks to Nicky and Stuart .Riley still has a long way to go but he made great strides ( no pun intended !)in the last week ..its been our privilege to care for him ,thankyou to everyone who took notice of his terrible plight he is going to be a well and happy dog . |

| Jan and Bill,
We know how sad you were to see him go but you were both fantastic with him.I am sure that if you had not taken him in he would have died.
He settled in immediately, loves the garden, and yesterday lay in his new basket on the terrace enjoying the sunshine. Right now he is in his basket in front of the fire doing what greyhounds do best.....snoozing!
He even had a little run in the garden and, yes, he has a long way to go but we will persevere.He is a lovely dog with a fantastic temperament so thanks for letting us adopt him and please visit him any time you like. |

| I have posted on another thread that, to our delight, we found out today at the vet's that Riley is microchipped, hopefefully we will find out his history and , with any luck identify his last owners.He is not on Kar's database so may have come from the south......watch this space
P.S. He has gained 1 Kg in a week.....well done Bill and Jan for looking after him so well before he came to us |
