Does anyone know if there is an illustrated book available, showing the various vegetables and fruit you see in abundance at the markets; telling you what they are, how to cook them, what they taste like and maybe giving a few recipe examples as to how best to present them? If there is I would like to get my hands on one; if not, maybe I will compile one with the colaboration of a good English speaking turkish cypriot cook!

Hi Scoobydoo I think what I had in mind was maybe a bit more ambitious than your plans - i.e. a properly printed full colour illustrated book, which could be published and retailed for a profit; but it's silly two of us doing the same thing. Would you consider a collaboration on the project? Do you also have an english speaking Turkish Cypriot contact who knows what they are and how to cook them? Which charity was it that you had in mind? I would be prepared to go down this route also. Maybe you would like to email me (see profile) for hotmail email address or give me a call on 05428793051.

Hi Poodledog, Yes we have someone who can do the translations for us and you are right in thinking that 2 of us doing the same thing is silly, but thank you very much for offering to help, that would be fantastic. Can I come back to you next week on this as I am not sure exactly where we are up to with the plans and we will be having a meeting so I will bring your offer up.

OK that's fine. Obviously I have my own ideas as well as to dedsign, content, layout etc as brochure, leaflet, booklet production (as well as marketing/sales/public relations) was my career before I came out here. Anyway these can be discussed later if a joint production gets off the ground.
