Can anyone help solve my problem. We have been in this house for 9 months, we were given the only moving Builders electric metre on our side of the site. We were happy to pay the bills from march 2010 to end of Sept. Then people moved into next door and our bills doubled. I have been trying to get it sorted now for nearly two months. Our metre suddenly got changed to the second one in the metre cupboard. which has No 2o underneath it and they have got mine number 19. I have just recieved a bill for 1.570tl and if I do not pay it by Feb 15th they are going to cut me off. I have worked out my average over a year and with what i owe and next doors bill it comes to. yes guess what 1,570tl. Surely something is really wrong here. They just laughed when i confronted them and openly said your bill is going to be big next month because this pool has been on for 24/7. air-con when the buildes firm was using that house as a weekend retreat before it was sold.

Don't pay it. You haven't used the electric, so why should you pay for the neighbours useage. If you get cut off, then so should they. They won't be laughing then.

It is the builders who are threatening to cut her electric off. Those neighbours should be ashamed to allow this to happen. Newcomers to the Island as well!

Their new neighbours haven't used the electricty so,would you pay the bill.



The problem is the builder.Get all your facts togeather, writen down, and try and sort it out with him.



If no joy take them to Kibtek and explaine that the meters are crossed.



Finally go to a good solictor.

Andy message 6. The neighbours have been here since octoberf, and before that only Kofali was using the house. Whe neighbours moved in they were using the air-con, Pump still still on in the pool then suddenly they take over my meter. Why shouldn't they pay their bills. My facts are straight. i have been to Kib-Tek. Been to the Builders and got swore at. Been to the police and a Socilitor. But they Kofali won't pick up when she calls them. They will not listen to anything I say anymore.

If kib-tek fitted the meter and you have the old bills ,ask for them to send an engineer to check the meters are fitted correctly

Andy reading what you are saying. Do you know my neighbours. We are on Builders electric. and when we moved into this house last march. we were given the meter with our house number on. Everything was just fine until Kofali started to use the house as a resting place from july to End Septemeber. They had the pool commissioned, used the Air-Con, and had a water cooler plus lights. Then the neighbours moved in and everything went wrong. I went to pay Sept/Oct bill when was sent to me on the meter always used. And I paid then they sent an email saying i owe more for Oct and Nvemeber suddendly doubled. Also meter readings had changed. i went and checked and the meter we always used had changed to the other one number 20. The neighbours even said you will have a big bill next time because the pool has been on 24.7 so they knew. And now the bill looks like ours and theres together when added up. i am not paying

No I don't know your neighbour.Your meter will have a serial No. Who changed the meters over?if you don't pay .They cut off your neighbour's electisity, not yours.

Let them sort it out.

The neighbours names are June and Stan, don't know their surname. They have been here 3 months and know it all!!!!

Thank you all of the above. And yes to me it is serious. Message 10. We moved in and was given number 19 meter our house number. the only meter going round was number 19 and that is what we were paying our Bills from with correct readings, until Stan and June moved in in Oct. Kofali had it from July to Oct. Then all of a sudden we were given double bills with different readings coming from Number 20 meter. Stan laughed and said your Bill is going to be high because they have been reading wrong meter and our pool was on 24/7 etc. Oh Number 20 meter started to go round when Kofali started to use the house. How can they change meters over. Kofali will not pick phone up from Advocate. Consumer rights people. So Mon day before Cut off it is Kib tek see what they can do. I am not paying for two houses. Stan and June had not paid a Bill October. And their bill and ours comes to 1.579tl exactly what kofali is asking for. Coincidence i snt it.
