Not sure regaring the parallels between Spain & Nothern Cyprus. Spain was always regraded as a 'safe bet' & traded off the back of this for some time. Northern Cyprus however has alway had a 'risk factor' attacted to reduce its valuations: As hopefullly most people (me included) understood the geo-political risks when buying here & hence hope/expect long term capital appreciation.



As a legitimate nation, the soluton to Spain's marketability relates to its credibility whereas Northern Cyprus's future is much more politically driven & as yet unknown.

But can I just say (sandwiched between 2 Cyprus44 titans of approaching 20,000 posts) that I adore the North of Cyprus, I have purchased property here for the purpose of using it, rather than an as investment...and remain very happy.

Middle Easter I also wish you heath and happiness here, but according to the local rag, sorry newspaper we now have a very high rate of cancer , 1, they say the water tanks then go on to list all sorts. Now we read and as we have all been so very cold last few weeks, we have log fires or wood burning stoves. Now we find a high risk of lung cancer from these.Then we are told its all the dust.Its a worrying prospect. However if you have been in the middle east Im sure you have experienced far worse. Good luck with your time here x
